| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 11/2/2008 8:52:54 PM | | I'll take a review when you get a minute. It seems like it's missing something, just don't know what. Maybe a little more detail and a few more pics. Also, be as harsh and unforgiving as you'd like. | |

| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 11/2/2008 10:10:46 PM | Please, be as brutal as you would like - or else it may happen to another.
Seriously, help. I am quite sick of being the 'bored' girl. Meaning I only - ONLY seem to be getting interest when someone is bored . Dear me, if I get one more IM or email stating that....I pray for the person who gets my response. lol
Thanks. | |

For some reason, as I read your profile, I get the feeling that you want to dissapear into the wall. You're somehow defiant and apologetic all at the same time.
Not to sound stupid.. but can you explain?
|
| joulesaffection Posted: 11/3/2008 1:12:52 AM | I'll give it a shot...
You seem like the oldest teenager on the internet. You want to play with the big kids but are afraid to. Don't be afraid to toss some color into yourself. We are nothing more or less than who we are. Make it fun.

| C'Mere, I'll do ya'. Posted: 11/3/2008 8:50:49 AM | Well I dunno how interesting my profile is, but I was more concerned about my screen name. Ouranus was the mythilogical father of the god Kronos and the grandfather of Zues. However, I have received a couple of messages asking why my name is Our Anus.
Do you think I need to change the name or do most people get it?

| reply to "filter with email" Posted: 11/3/2008 3:11:57 PM | To my knowledge I can't filter my matches with any of these "should have's" & "can't stand's" through email setting. I understand the bit about being aware of your intended audience, but not the why of it.
Granted this is a free site and one wouldn't expect to see elaborate features, but what is wrong with sharing the essentials which you know are important to a healthy relationship? I mean, we have gender, height, age, drinking frequency, and smoking listed at the top of all of our profiles, yet typically there's almost nothing that lets viewers know what kinds of things they match up on.
I suppose I'd be interesting in experimenting around with it not having it on the profile for awhile to see if that changes anything. But it's still imp0rtant to let the other person know upfront what things do and don't work. I mean would it be fair to let somebody get interested, only to reject them later because of something you know will be a critical, unavoidable issue if the relationship becomes any deeper and more committed? It's a tough call, isn't it?
PS: lol, Pandy! You're one to talk, seeing as you have long lists of what you do and don't like with your titles of "Fun Pandy Factoids" and "who I DON'T want to meet". We have different titles but we are relatively the same. Is it possible we both had the same reasons for choosing that method? How can such a method be improved or replace with a better alternative? Why or why not?

| reply to filter with email Posted: 11/3/2008 4:39:52 PM | XS, There is no ACTUAL filter... but statistics say that you are probably not going to be getting very many women contacting you. If they do, you read their profiles and decide if they are right for you. As you scan profiles, you decide which are and aren't right for you... THAT's what I mean by using your email to filter out potentials.
My profile? Not really relevant as I'm not dating. I'm here for the forums and the friendships and I don't really care if anyone contacts or not. You, presumably, do.

| ouranus Posted: 11/4/2008 1:50:18 AM | most people are more familiar with the alternative spelling "uranus"... still not a good idea... you're sound like science geek.
Uranus was emasculated by his son Kronus, you knew this, right?
just sayin'.
