| Dreams about exes? Posted: 10/26/2008 3:29:46 AM | For 8 years I have had vivid and very realistic dreams about the first man I was in real love with, vivid to the extent when I awoke I truly would listen for the shower in the bathroom, or feel the bed to see where he was...The dreams were so real for me while I slept that it made it even more difficult to end the relationship, but we both had problems ending the relationship. We loved each other deeply and what we shared was very, very special and very good. For us it was a matter of the wrong person, at the wrong time and neither of us having the ability to alter that situation...the dreams kept some of it too alive inside of me.
Thankfully, now that I am falling in love again, for the second time with an equally wonderful man, and that same depth of the connection - all of the dreams, and all the lingering "residue" of that first love's memories is gone.
I feel such freedom and release from where my memories and mind had me spell-bound in the relationship that would never work.
It's a real peace.
I hope you find it soon. | |

| Dreams about exes? Posted: 10/26/2008 6:15:08 AM | After reading some of the responses here I'm grateful I rarely remember my dreams.
Maybe one fleeting dream (if that) a year that is something stupid.
I don't know what that means (that I rarely remember any dreams) but I'm happy that I don't.
Sorry OP, perhaps your dreams about your ex will subside in time.

| Dreams about exes? Posted: 10/26/2008 7:02:02 AM | They say that everyone dreams, but I may be like Clasact. I have only ever had one dream that I remember. I'd have to go back about 30 years to remember my Psych 101 class, but one theory is that dreams are indicative of what is on our subconcious mind. If I was you, I wouldn't be too worried after only three weeks. Most of us spend a lot of time conciously and subconciously thinking about our ex (or what's wrong with us and relationships) at first. Do what I did after the end of my first long term relationship. Find some old high-school buddies that were chick magnets. Go out, party and chase women every night for about a year. You'll either be too drunk or too worn out to have time for thinking or dreaming! | |

| Dreams about exes? Posted: 10/26/2008 8:44:00 AM | I am done having nightmares about my ex 4 years later...Thank God!
OP it is hard to say if there is a deeper meaning or not...they are your dreams. I guess you need to look at how your dreams coincide with your reality. We all miss someone we "break up" with and it preoccupies our mind for a while. In time this to shall pass!
