I was trying to show examples of how the world is unfair, that rock stars and pro sports players have the money and fame and there is a small percent of women that make it a living to follow that scene. Posted: 10/30/2008 9:00:43 PM | I agree with joetheguitar with the strange magnetic attraction with fame. I was in a local, crap little rock band a few years back which lasted for only a year. I'd had more radom girls (actually I should say "for the first time I had random girls..." come over to me and start chatting when we we're playing a local pub or club. Since the band split... nothing!!!!
As with the overall lies issues, I agree with sweetkisses1970, we've al probably told little white lies or avoided the whole truth to protect ourselves or others. Although probably not the right thing to do, we do it.
I only have issues with people who are blatant in covering their own guilt and are knowingly doing something that would hurt their partner (Usually cheating). Deciet is the worst thing and I would have prefered a "Things arn't working" speech rather than months of upset, worry and eventual heart break!
As for dagostyle, my best advice is just hang in there. I've hated al women at times due to one but I look back and realise I've been fairly lucky and I am still on good terms with most of my ex's which in some ways makes up for the few complete *#!?'s. I just hope both of our "bad girl" streaks are finally over and the next one may hold some promise.
I've also recently tried something new and met someone. I went and looked outside the box as it were, avoided the usual places I hang out at, try new places and found an interest in a female friend who isn't what I typically look for and I've found her interesting in different ways than I'm used to. So far it's a friends only basis but geting along really well! Will have to keep people posted :-) There maybe hope yet!  | |

I don't believe 99% of what is said over the internet, I reserve my trust for real life. But in this case, why would she risk what other people think and other possible relationships if this doesn't work out, by posting if she wasn't sincere. | |

Anyway, for the record, I'm a FEMALE and I don't think I've lied to anyone. Not intentionally! I may tell a little white lie to avoid hurting someone's feelings if I'm not interested but I don't lie about anything. I think its because my mom could always tell and she slapped me silly the one or two times in my life I tried it. Go ahead and ask me anything..except my weight..I just don't tell people that. Or my bra size. Oh, and I won't respond to "what color bra and panties are you wearing?'....not anymore anyway..lol! Have I been lied to?...absolutely. Big time. Sucks.
And people...be nice to each other! What the heck..these forums seem to be getting nastier and nastier. Another thing my mom taught me..."if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all." Or..if you're going to disagree..do it with class.  | |

But, all women lie. So do men. It's a matter of the degree of the lie.

Posted: 2/5/2009 1:15:52 PM | Sorry, dude, but I have news for you. EVERYONE who tries to meet someone on line is going to get lied to, more often than not. I was getting pretty "sick of men lying to me" there for awhile myself. There's only a small percentage of people on dating sites who are actually looking for what they say they are looking for, and its' not easy for two of them to actually find EACH OTHER. Everyone else is just after something else, whatever their own personal agenda might be. There are people of both sexes who are just looking for sex, looking for someone to support them, someone to look after their kids, you name it, if there's an "agenda" there's someone online going after it.
My question for you, OP, is what "kinds" of lies are you being told? Because I see a lot of guys on here calling women "liars" when they have "looking for long term" on their profiles, yet they dont' want "long term" with THEM. Just because a woman says she's looking for a trait you have doesn't mean she's necessarily looking for YOU, and it doesn't make her a LIAR. Her telling you something you don't want to hear doesn't make her a LIAR.
So, I am very interested to hear some specific lies you've been told.
