I like to be in a relationship where we comlpliment each others characteristics. I do know my flaws and weaknesses as well as my strengths and I would hope that my partner had qualities which brougt out the best in me and vice versa. | |

I'd agree with that.
I like a woman to remind me of me, by having similar tastes, opinions, passions, kinks, etc.
I love it when a woman has a similar body shape to mine. I love the shoulders to be larger than the hips........
Also, if they are my height, then they'll be taller than me when they wear heels..lovely! | |

I love Capricorns because they are not two faced.. and they are warm and they listen and they are the best friends in the world.And they are so practical and so honest and so clever.
In general I really like capricorns and would agree with you that they are very straight and direct. My younges son is a Capricorn and he's also extremely affectionate, he has no problems saying what is on his mind and for a kid he's quite paternal even...but I met one Capricorn on here who was the biggest over-grown child ever it's made me doubt my established beliefs that Capricorn men are ok in the main.
I think it would be great to meet someone just like me so I could persecute them for being so awful. | |

My last partner was too like me , in many respects but my physical illness was a setback. I'm much better now.

I am not perfect and I know my flaws and weaknesses but also my strengths and why I am essentially a good guy.
I know what I am attracted to in a woman and they are characteristics that I hold, but the type of person they are can be totally different. For me the most important things are personality, compatatibility and chemistry and a similar moral code and opinions, beyond that they can be as different and diverse as you like becasue surely that would be interesting and exciting! | |

Yes i would be attracted to someone like myself as i think people generally are attracted to people with simular taste's and same way of thinking.
And as for looking for yourself in a perspective partner i think this is true to an extent as having things in common helps,but on the other hand opposites attract aswell. | |

Probably, but I think it's healthy to have some differences, otherwise things would become stale & boring really quickly but a meeting of minds regarding the basics is a good thing too. I definitely need someone who is intellectually stimulating ~ to make me think about things in a different way/challenge me to consider another perspective.

Would I like to find a partner like me?
I actually did live with a girl for nearly 5 years who was almost the carbon copy female version of myself. However we were just too similar for there to be any conflict of opinions and thoughts that leads to debate and ultimately the evolution of the relationship. Sexually we both had very high sex drives and would be at it every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times a day for months on end. It was great sex, very very loving and caring, but it somehow missed a sort of spark of adventure as we just knew what each other liked.
We were and still are many years later great friends, but to quote a lecturer of mine at Liverpool Poly, "You need a bit of grit in an Oyster to make a Pearl".
So being too alike can be a bad thing, but say a 80% likeness is perhaps the ideal compatibility factor. | |
