I could see they were sitting on the rail so I knew they were alive... someone was on their cell phone placing a call so I felt they had it taken care of... OMG I certaintly hope they are ok. MAYBE just MAYBE they learned a lesson... yes it might cost some to replace that truck... BUT one thing it didn't cost them were their lives....
PLEASE PEOPLE..DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.
I had a cousin who was killed by a drunk driver and he walked away from it. This was way back when I was a youngin... things were NOT as strick... however it took her at 18. Enough said. | |

And YES...a very hard lesson learned...cause I cannot possibly imagine if someone would have been killed or seriously hurt...and AGAIN...we ALWAYS encourage SAFE PARTYING. ALWAYS. :)

Kat, like you i found out quickly that Boots with 3 inch heels, the dance floor, $1 drink specials and a crazy man with a mask with a 6 inch tongue don't mix  and I went down flat on my booty!!!! (VERY gracefully i might add) 
Believe me i jumped up and looked around for KENNY and his camera!!!!!!!!
HA! YOU MISSED IT!!!!!!!!!! One other girl fell down at least twice so it wasn' t just you and me hitting the deck sister! I went back to my room and put on flip flops that totally didn't go with my outfit but i didn't care.. at least i didn't look like a fishie floppin on the dance floor the rest of the nite!  | |

We left there at close and went to Soulard and then to the East side. Didn't get back to the room till about 6am. Good times!
The guy in the pic with me is Curt aka FatBoy75. I have a bunch of pics from that night, but nothing suitable for posting! LOL
Thanks again to all who helped. It was my first party and I am dayum... sure I will never forget it!!!
Skip and I had a heartfelt conversation I met FBG and Shortstack. Oh and my man , my DAWG!

Posted: 10/27/2008 4:29:12 PM | George...I asked about that for someone else who mentioned it...and if I understood it correctly, they used to work out the tax into the $35 rate so that they were actually charging less for the rooms, so they charged the $35 competitive rate AND the tax.
Still cheap!

The hotel rooms are an OPTION that is available so that we can really cut loose if we want to. Many do not get out often, and since these parties are monthly or bi-monthly at most...people wanna let their hair down and just kick it! The hotel is discounted for us and is CHEAP, whether it is $35 or $40. And...the standard rooms can accommodate up to 4 people, comfortably...so if you need, you can split it with 1 to 3 others...making it an even better deal. :)
The drinks are as cheap as the can be for two hours...and the food is FREE. After the two hours, they are still reasonably priced...and...the whole freaking party is FREE, for the most part! ;) Not many places (if any!) that one can go where for less than $50, they can get a room, eat a decent meal, drink, have music, etc....
I KNOW no one is complaining...and everyone has been more than generous in their thanks for the evening! But just to explain the rate difference in the room! :) | |

Posted: 10/27/2008 8:42:26 PM | OMGoodness Kat sorry to hear about your kiddos, but am relieved that they aren't hurt or worst. As to everyone else I hope they learned something from this experience and that it might even help someone else in the long wrong.
As to the price of the rooms- when me and sis checked in at 4 am they explained to us that the price difference was because it was their "Halloween Bash"(if you look at the picture of the sign out side the strat on page one you will notice their room prices for the night was $49.95 ) that night and they raised the rate for it. So, with that said we still received an AWESOME price. Mind you, I too would have paid whatever they needed me to, seeings that I definetly didn't want to drive ALL the way back home and back up again. The last two parties we have been too they have been very accomadating and allowing us to check in at 4 am or later on the day of the party and staying til the next day (can't beat that). Any how that is just my two cents.
