Steel, I have to agree with vbxtc, in that hiring Gregg Williams has done more to improve the Saints than Payton alone. Before Payton was in New Orleans, the Saints had a decent offensive team, but Haslett would not get rid of that near worthless Venturi as a defensive coordinator, and though we had talent on the defensive side of the ball, the scheme was horrible and the D sucked! Payton, in 2006, with the addition of Brees, Colston and Bush, kicked the offense up a notch, but even last year, it was just painful watching the kickoffs after scoring, knowing that our D couldn't stop anyone! Very much to Sean Payton's credit, how many other head coaches in the NFL would offer to and accept a pay cut so that money could go to the new defensive coodinator? | |

MGM, and last year the Jets fans knew that Favre was taking them to the Superbowl after upsetting the Titans! We'll see if the Vikes can stay ahead of the Packers for the rest of the year. | |
