Enjoy your SB win. It happens once in a blue moon for some teams, like Giants, Ravens.
All I was saying, the SB score does not match the talents of this 2 teams. There was something missing from the game, I can't pin point the problem. The ease with which the Colts were moving the ball with runs and passes, and the difficulties Saints were having to get even a first down, do not reflect the final score. just IMO.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 7:11:32 PM | Super Bowl 44 was fixed. Period.
If that was the case then wouldn't you think that Superbowl 41 would have been the year of the "fix" for the Saints to go onto the Superbowl and beat the Colts then considering it was only a year after Katrina.................

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 7:13:03 PM | Earthling, You should read the last couple pages of the thread. Your conspiracy theory is a little played out. You obviously missed the three and outs the Saints D laid on the Colts offense. But, I'm not going to try to reason with someone who just thought the Manning coronation was gauranteed. The Saints were the better team. Get over it.
The last time the Girls won the SB Garbage Pail Kids were still popular.
Michael Jackson was still caramel colored.
MGM and his Furbee became fans of the Girls for the first time.

Al Bundy was still scoring touchdowns...
Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski were still together...

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 8:24:11 PM | The Only time the Aints won the Super Bowl the game was "fixed"
The last time the Steelers won the SB they beat the lowly Cardinals and Seahawks
The Last Time the Cowboys won the Super Bowl they beat the Steelers Before the Broncos won back to back SB's they Lost 4 in a row!!!! One of those Losses 55-10 against the 49ers worst defeat in Super Bowl History.
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 8:32:43 PM | Yeah and which team won 2 of the 3 Superbowls that the Steelers and Cowboys played against each other again?
At least the Steelers won thier Superbowls in the 21st century.
The Cowboys playoff game against the Eagles in the first round of the playoffs was a fix. Jerry Jones was soo disperate to win a playoff game that he paid the Eagles off to take a fall, becuase he was sick of getting embarassed in the first round of the playoffs for that past 13 seasons.
|
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 8:42:42 PM | ^^^Cowboys swept the Eagles 3 games in a row including a win in their own back yard.
But last years Cards / steelers super bowl game was the real fix. Holmes never got his second foot down.

It was designed that way so no one would think that it was a fix when the Cowboys beat the Eagles in the first round, because people were shocked that they acutally won a playoff game.
But last years Cards / steelers super bowl game was the real fix. Holmes never got his second foot down.

Right shoe on top of left shoe, Should not have counted. "Fixed Super Bowl"
Roethlisbergers 1 yard short of a touchdown against the Seahawks , Should not have counted. Another steelers "Fixed Super Bowl"

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 9:02:20 PM | Funny how you ignore the other two photos that clearly show both feet were down and unless you are blind you can see the right foot is down in the first pic the other two pics further shows that. Nice try.
The Cowboys beating the Steelers in Superbowl XXX had fix writen all over it then. Hmm Neil O'Donald just throwing it right to Brown twice when no other Steeler player was even remotely close to those two int's by Brown. FIX.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 10:16:19 PM | Dam the way you guys are talking every game is fixed it sure would be nice though not having to compete in the NFC east. How hard is it to get to the playoffs when you play Cincinati, Clevland, twice each year or New England playing Miami, Buffalo you can go 8 and 8 and still win the division
Two years from now Washington Redskins might win the division with Shanahan coaching lol who knows.
If I thought the superbowls were fixed I wouldnt bother waching the rest of the season what would be the point.?
Last time the Cowboys won a superbowl I still had Brown hair and more of it but I could care less because I have watched them win 5 superbowls so far.
It takes a tougher person to be a Cowboys fan becuase all of the crap you have to put up with. lol

sum1, you have described the play exactly. Wayne, for some reason only he can explain, stopped in his tracks while Manning threw the ball as if he were expecting Wayne to continue on a slant route. Porter had to have been focusing on Manning the whole way and broke for the ball as it left Manning's hand, leaving Wayne flat footed and with no chance to compete for the reception, or in this case, interception.
...Well, i'm glad you finally agree with my observation.....now, as you yourself pointed out, that opens things up to a few questions.......don't it?
Maybe Wayne wasn't sure of his route, and what I mean by that is , when he came to the line, he might have seen something he wasn't sure of? It obviously made him hesitate
i believe wayne was sure of his route....he probably believed that the ball was coming in with greater force than it actually had when TP caught it, which is why he didn't fully commit sooner.
It was a gamble for Porter
It wasn't much of a gamble, it was more like a sure thing...even as Pete (see above) says, TP had his eye on the ball, the very moment it left PM's hands.....since TP was facing the play from the outset, he was better able to judge the speed of the pass and its location.
Not everyone shows up in every game, that's in every sport. It wasn't Wayne's day, He wasn't terrible, but he wasn't great either. And as far as the drops in the game, it's easy to lose focus and drop a pass, especially when they are easy catches. You just lose focus and start looking to where you want to go.
we can rationalize this whole thing in many ways....i'm not saying you are wrong, but to simply write it off by saying that Wayne (or Manning) "didn't show up" is a bit hard to accept.........i respect the notion that you have 1st hand experience in the college ranks, and that players can lose focus....but for 2 pros like Pm & wayne to have simply "lost focus" of 1 another on such a play, in such a game.... is stretching it a little!....IMO.
Sum how can you tell that he took his eyes off of Wayne? I mean there was no cam angle remotely close enough to show where his eyes were focused at.
...he slid over to his left on the 25ht, away from Wayne, so it stands to reason that he had to be looking at the ball........worded differently, he focused his attention on the pass rather than on wayne.
Thank goodness Sum1 is here to be the only one in America who believes the entire Colts team wanted to lose this game.
....R U nuts? ...i'm the only 1 in america?.....why don't you go on this site then:
http://answers.yahoo.com/questions/index;_ylt=AOLEVIWG4HRLL3wB7AIP:
...but even better, do a google search using: "Superbowl 44 fix" and "Superbowl 44 rigged".......and you can go thru them all!
You just sound so dumb to me to persist to argue this moronic conspiracy theory when you only focus on one play.
...just because we are illustrating 1 play here doesn't mean that there couldn't be others.....but if you do some searches, you might wanna partake in some of those bloggs in which these other aspects are discussed,..... that's if you don't have your head stuck too deep in the sand! -------------------------------------------
I'm proud of you....Pal.
whew Pal, i didn't think you ever would be!....as it is so difficult to achieve the butt-fugging standards that you have diligently pioneered for yourself!
Switching your Dildo provider from AT&T to Verizon is probably the smartest thing you have done.
of course, Pal.....you knew i could NOT go wrong by following your advice based on your rich and rewarding experiences.
This will truly put you on cloud 9; and seeing you happy, makes me happy
and i'm glad you are happy, by the (Gmen)"seeds" that have been implanted inside of you....and for what has since blossomed within you, as you forge toward the path of rectal excellence!

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 2/11/2010 10:56:10 PM | | how do you know he wasn't looking with his peripheral vision at Waynes movement while he glanced at Manning's angle in which he could have done because he was in the line of sight to see both at the same time. | |

so...with this logic...Dallas beat the saints...The broncos beat the cowboys...so...this means the broncos are better than the saints right?...
Wrong. The Broncos never did beat the Saints.
