| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/27/2009 3:59:06 PM | Nov 30, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS vs. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
The toughest game the Saints have left on their sehedule.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/27/2009 5:59:20 PM | I agree Steel. Playing Atlanta twice isn't going to be easy either though! . | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/27/2009 6:09:00 PM | | I wouldn't overlook the Cowboys either the way they are playing. They took the Falcons to task yesterday and the Falcons are no push over team. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/27/2009 9:03:04 PM | This Monday will be the first divisional game for the Saints against the Falcons. Who'd have thought a team could get to the seventh game without a divisional game? Ten games left and six of them are against divisional teams. Bring it on bitches. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/28/2009 4:32:11 AM | I also agree that the Pats game will be the hardest, but we will need to stay focused on each week's game to insure we don't look past the away game against the Dirty Birds with the Cowboys game looming on the horizon in December. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/28/2009 8:58:44 PM | | I've loved the Saints since I lived in MS and they were the 'Aints'. No bandwagon girl here......I think they're going all the way this year and I couldn't be happier! I'll be there for the SuperBowl....even though I'm an English girl!!! Go Saints!!! | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/29/2009 1:16:20 AM | I also agree that the Pats game will be the hardest
I'm not guarantying a win, but if the Pats stay focus for the next games they have scheduled until the play the Saints and IF they beat them. This will make the Patriots a tough team to be wreckon with.
I am beginning to see some development coming from the Patriots, but going against two bad teams really doesn't justify it yet. This next game against Miami will be a tough one like they usually are when they face each other.
To be honest, I like the Saints and what they have done so far. I even predicted them to go to the SB last season and this season. Brees is a very good QB and I remember when he was drafted in the top 2nd round by the Chargers. The Chargers made a steal for him and I told myself that this guy was going to be good....When the Chargers cut ties with Brees, I thought to myself that they made a big mistake....And prediction was correct. However, when the Pats play agaist the Saints I am hoping the Pats take this one.

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/29/2009 4:05:10 PM | | Kinda sucks..Heath Evans is out the rest of the year (knee)injury... | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 7:03:45 AM | Well, they signed Kyle Eckel, but who knows if he'll play this Monday being unfamiliar with the Saints offensive scheme. But Lynell Hamilton may fill in at FB this Monday.
Taming the Wildcat: Miami ran 16 plays out of the wildcat formation for a net total of 34 yards! The longest play out of the wildcat was for 8 yards (twice). Four plays from the wildcat resulted in a loss of yards. One wildcat play was an incomplete pass. Two wildcat plays were four yard TDs by Ricky Williams.
Great job by Gregg Williams and the Saints D!!! Too bad I've heard a few "experts" this week continue to say that no one has stopped the wildcat. So much for the "experts"!!!
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 7:13:25 AM | The Wildcat is overrated now and defense now can pick it up quickly enough. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 2:25:45 PM | The Wildcat offensive scheme is a good scheme to use but you have to have a good offensive line for starters and you got to know when to use it in order to be sucessful with it. The Steelers used to play a type of Wildcat formation in their offensive scheme packages for years with Kordell Stewart playing slash roles and they had a lot of success with it when they used it. So it depends upon how good your offensive line is and when the right time to use the Wildcat offense, which determines how sucessful it can be on a team.
The problem with Miami is they use the Wildcat formation too much which doesn't do anything for the eliment of surprising a defense which allows defenses to catch on a lot quicker to what they are doing. If they just used the Wildcat formation in a few plays each game they would have a lot better sucess at catching teams by surprise, but when you use it 10 or more times per game defenses have a much easier time catching onto when you are going to use it during the course of the game.
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 2:42:08 PM | | The wildcat is used when teams know they have a bad QB, so they use this scheme to help win games. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 2:46:16 PM | | I wouldn't nessacerily agree with that, because Chad Pennington isn't considerd a bad QB and they used it all last year which lead them to a 11-5 dvision title. I just think it's another way of trying to trick a defense, just like any other formation that uses plays to try to allude defeneses. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 2:52:24 PM | | Last year the Dolphins didn't know how well Pennington was going to be....And when they saw great success with it last year in their second game against the Patriots (which they used it on first). They decided to implement it every game. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 4:08:02 PM | | That's because it works. I mean, it's like the west coast offensive scheme that Bill Walsh implemented to allude defenses for example. The Wildcat is just another scheme formation just like any other offensive formation and when used correctly it does work well, but just like all offensive schemes if you use too much of it each game it's not going to work very well because defenses will catch onto to what you are doing and predict what plays you are going to use it for. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/30/2009 11:16:18 PM | Didn't I tell you guys that it would be the Wildpussy offense by the time the Saints were through with it. | |

| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/31/2009 6:27:37 AM | | Id love to see Miami beat the Jets again lol Rex Ryan isnt my favorite guy lol | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/31/2009 7:45:36 AM | I'm not much of a Dolphin fan, but I hate the Jets even more. I want the Dolphins to kick their a$$, Rex is a jacka$$ and I hope his years as a Jet's coach is a miserable one....So they can FIRE his a$$. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/31/2009 7:54:45 AM | I don't like Rex Ryan either. He is soooo arrogant. Actually I'm not a Dolphins or Jets fan, but if I had to choose I would choose the Jets, just because they are NY. I do think Sanchez will do good for the Jets over time, even as a rookie he is pretty damn good.
LOL, since living in Fl. I must admit I just haven't been able to like the Dolphins. I think Miami, .. dolphins... aqau blue... pink flamingo's... That's why refer to them as the pink flamingo dudes. O.K. PINK FLAMINGO'S and football just doesn't go together.
Nov 30, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS vs. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS That should be a GOOD game. Dang not sure WHO I want to win that one.

Dang not sure WHO I want to win that one.
I've already made my choice.
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 10/31/2009 9:29:26 AM | Yeah you don't hear Rex Ryan talking too much crap now. I mean how can a first year head coach that's never head coached in the league before talk soo much crap, when he doesn't have anything under his belt to backup all the crap he was talking. Now look at him. 3 -3, don't hear too much crap out of his mouth anymore. | |
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/1/2009 1:35:07 AM | | Steel, you've already forgotten about that walkover in Oakland last week? Though it wouldn't surprise me if Ryan's mouth gets in gear again before the next Pats game on the 22nd. Strictly for motivational purposes. | |

But after all its jus a dream hahaha..Im thinkn the Saints will still score 40 or more points no matter what the Dirty birds do ..Anybody agree?
| New Orleans Saints Posted: 11/1/2009 8:12:45 AM | kulbrz, Like they say downunder, no worries, mate!!! Last week Romo had a big game against the Falcons D, and I see no reason why your cuz won't have a big game against them also! Abraham may test Bushrod some, but nothing that Bushrod can't handle, in my opinion. We have plenty of single back sets and don't need a fullback, but Payton/Carmichael/Ingalls have worked both Hamilton and David Thomas out at fullback this week if Eckel isn't ready. The Falcons have no one that can cover Shockey, let alone Colston, Henderson, Moore or Meachem. As always, we will look to put points on the board with every possession, and I don't see much on Atlanta's side of the ball that can stop us. After we're up by about 20 points, look for Payton to go heavy on the rush and expect to see lots of Pierre Thomas, Bell and Bush. If that happens early, we may not make it to 40, but in the 30's easily. | |
