Post it in here and other may want to come. I just kow I don't feel like showing up at the Coffee mill when no one else really shows.
I will still be posting events that are going on throughout the summer here in Freddy. So keep an eye out onthis thread and see you all at some point.

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 8/31/2009 10:21:06 AM | OK... I had sort of stopped the coffee meets for the summer. I am saying sorta, because I had kind of decided I wasn't going anymore, although others could have continued going if they so chose to. Anyway, I am just wondering if anyone is still interested for these to continue even now? If there really isn't... then I am not really going to bother keeping this thread open anymore.
IF anyone still comes in here and reads this.. please state your opinion here. If I don't see anything...I will assume no one is interested.

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 9/7/2009 4:12:07 AM | I'm still interested in the coffee meets, my only problem with them has been the day and time scheduled. As you know I work a later shift(get off at 8 PM) than most people and my day off is Wed. So when you kept the schedule for Tues at 7PM that left me unable to attend.
I actually came into this thread to see if anyone was interested in doing it again but on Wed nights instead, so I can attend. I'm willing to make a committment to be there every Wed. at 7, without fail if there is any interest. If the Coffee Mill is inconvenient just suggest some other spot.
Come on peeps, this is a great way to meet up and keep the F'ton Chapter alive.

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 9/7/2009 1:33:18 PM | They were never on Tuesday night.. they use to be on Weds nights... but I work Weds nights until 8 - 8:30pm so I was not able to attend and I was the one trying to host them. So I asked if anyone minded me moving them to either Tues or Thurs nights. They all expressed Thursday night was best for them.
But.. if you all would like to move them back to Weds night.. feel free. Maybe make a new thread... and mara you take it over. It is kind of feeling like a burden to me now, and I don't like feeling that way. It is too much work to try and keep everyone happy... and to get people's attention to attend.

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 9/7/2009 6:04:49 PM | I'm sorry you feel that way, I'm truely sorry it got to be a burden for you. I sure hope it won't be that way for the next person who tries to host a coffee meet. I just thought I'd pick it up , and see if you and the others were interested in gathering again.
As for what night it was on, well, as you know I've had a stroke so my grasp on stuff is tenuous at best. Tues, Thurs, they both start with a T so that was close enough for me. All I know is that they werent' on Wed.
If anyone wants to join me I'll be there on WED. evening at 7. I'll wait for an hour, and if I have company, great, if not I'll have a book with me. It's worth a try, it was fun in the past and might be again. I really don't know what went wrong, why folks lost interest in coffee meets. But, I'm willing to try it again. Once.

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 9/7/2009 8:52:56 PM | I would love to start attending again. Wednesday's are out for me as I bowl on this night.
Mara - I hope you are well. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help get these coffee nights up and going again.
NB_Native - its no good to feel burdened, I understand its a lot of upkeep to keep these coffee meets going.
Its never going to be a good night for everyone who wants to attend (see me above lol) and its never consistant on how many people show up
But for those whom are thinking, is this for me...I say go for it as all of us who have attended in the past have had great evenings of chit chat. Never know what we are going to end up discussing...and sometimes there is a love connection in the air!
[note to self, this is me being helpful or is it me rambling? Feel free to advise!]

| Fredericton Coffee Meets @ the Coffee Mill Thursday Night, 7pm...plus other interesting gatherings.. Posted: 9/28/2009 1:38:01 PM | | Maybe you should just take it down, nb, it's dieing a slow and terrible death by starvation right now. It looks like no one is interested, or they've all gone on to something else by now. Maybe the idea of POF parties is passe and it's really time for a whole NEW BREATH OF FRESH AIR to blow all the dust & cob webs away and start something fresh and exciting to take the place of the bars and booze. | |
