Do not expect me to compliment your shoes unless they are red or black stillettoes .. just the same as I do not expect you to comment on my car unless I buy a new one.
When you change your hair ... WE NOTICE!!! .. if we do not comment we do NOT like it!! if you ask us about it we have to lie or sleep on the couch!!
When I have worked 14 hours today and I come home to cold leftovers .. yes its ok I will eat it and it will be fine BUT I won't tell you how fantastic it is or how great you look.. I'm eating leftovers you don't look fantastic you look like.
Ladies if a guy washes your car .. count it as romance .. for us it is!!!
Flowers are flowers ... there's nothing wrong with carnations for a non-special occation.
And yes to the earlier post most of us should spend more time looking eye to eye as opposed to eye to nipple. | |

And my advice to me....Hmmm. How about;
If there is a birthday or other special occasion where a gift is appropriate, don't get it at the last minite. That is soooo like, "No need to get it early... I might break up with her by then." 
I crack up at the image of men rushing wild-eyed through Home Depot on Christmas Eve looking ofr a present for their wives!
Better to ask her what she wants, or ask her girl friend, if you are clueless. And please, if you don't want to hear about it for Freaking EVER, don't bring home a vacuum cleaner or other household appliance. If she needs one, fine, get it when she needs it, not as a present.
For me, flowers are Always a good thing. Even if just a bunch of carnations from Publix. (Carnations are my favs, by the way) just saying.
