Since I've started taking part in the forums my messages have dried up to zero, but I do have more profile views from other forum members, and I have to confess when I read a cool post I look at the person's profile... but then they're on the other side of the planet and at least a decade too young.
When I first joined PoF it was all about fine tuning my profile and searching... now I log on, look at viewed me and new users for all of 10 seconds and then go to the forums! It's a bit like going to a new bar. The first couple of times you're scoping out the place to see what the talent's like, but within three or four visits you're more interested in the band. | |

To be honest, I've never heard women talking so openly about their sexuality anywhere else than here. It's pretty refreshing, since a lot of women like to be rather prudish in public - which is fine. It's just nice to know that women have an appetite too. So it's kind of relieving to me.
It sounds kind of stupid, but when I was growing up, I was taught and understood that only guys liked sex. I actually believed for a while, that women didn't like sex, it was something they did for guys. It was kind of depressing to me.
Yes, I am a fool. Point your fingers and laugh at me.
I've never messaged any woman who posted something very sexual on this board, for sex or for criticisms. I have, however, received some e-mails from ladies because of posts that I've made.

Dahlink...you're such a lovely, you and I both know that those who do send you those ignorant messages are either jealous, freaks or just so judgmental they can't help themselves.

I'd LOVE to have some woman send me a nasty message about what I have to say here on the sex threads or anywhere else. Even better would be some guy being a****ead! Those who have said something on the forums and have been challenged back usually end up name calling (the ones who go to the "well you're fat and I'm not boat" are always entertaining--they show their true selves very quickly) because they can't find anything constructive to say. Those who have messaged me privately about something have asked for my opinion--because I try to be as honest as I can. I tell people that the person here is the same person offline--there's no need for BS in my life. I get enough of it every day!
I have to disagree with a poster who said that he thinks the forums cause less views. Unless you're posting something really odd, like you want some woman to pee on you while reciting Poe (ha), you are expressing your true self. And since we're all supposedly adults here, if you can't be yourself now, when can you be? Besides, if you notice, those holier than thou people who post a nasty judgment usually get asked why they're even reading the sex threads...that usually shuts them down since they're now officially busted.
People will judge you regardless--we all know that. And if someone wants to judge you because you're willing to express who you are with no reservations, well good on them--at least you'll know who you want to deal with and who you don't right??

I get a lot of people emailing me as though they think what I said has something to do with them, because they do not agree...very strange, seeing as these are people from all over the world, and why should they care if a Canadian woman posts on a topic, and they do not agree with her? I personally cannot recal emailing anyone about a post they made. If I feel a need to respond, I do via forums.
Most mail I recieve is complimentary, but there are always a few loons in the mix LOL.
As for any posts in the sex forums...I try to be careful there, as anytime I post in there, I end up getting a crap load of seedy offers...so I am pretty selective about what I will post in those forums. I keep my posts about what I have seen/heard others say and do in relation to sex, because if I openly state what I do in bed I am automatically a slut, easy, only looking for a c o c k...well, you get it.. LOL
There have seen posts in the sex forums I would have LOVED to participate in, but I just dont need the hassle. Shame, but such is life. | |
