I actually find it refreshing. The problem I have is when you ask a sincere question and all you get are personal attacks and bitterness because they are "offended" by the question.
For example, on this thread, someone asked a sincere question about "loose vaginas", while I am not interested in the topic, most of the first posts (from women) accused him of having a small penis. Is that discussion?
I find honest conversation of issues are often clouded by the thinking "How dare you even ask that question". But in my world, I find it from women, rather than guys. | |

IMO there is a LOT of bragging, and more than a little B.S. spread around in the forums..
such as..

- " i once had sex for 18 weeks straight"
or whatever..

Men....do you truly believe a woman is a "promiscuous slut" because she is willing to be honest and straightforward in the discussions here?
Whether it's these forums or the real world, it really makes no difference does it?
A slut just wants something else besides sex. Those are the ones that use the "carrot hanging on the stick in front of the bunny rabbit" principle - for making us believe we might actually "get some" from them. Give her what she wants, and receive the reward. Slut really is just another term for prostitute anyway, right? A promiscuous slut just makes it seem more obvious, more direct, but she's still probably after something else. She's the one that talks freely about sex, sometimes curses like a truck-driver, and seems like she's just "one of the guys". She's still usually not just going to give it up for free. She's still usually after something else. The more promiscuous one is the one many guys will gravitate towards because she just seems so easy to get along with. She's so unlike "those other" women. She seems to us like she's not hiding her motives.
Some of us are dumb enough to fall for that too.

some of these people seem to be on the computer, logged into POF, and making posts, 24/7
not even sure how they'd ever get the TIME for their so -called legendary sexual exploits
or are they talking about something that happened 20-30 years ago or more ?
maybe like the ex-jock talking about his glory days scoring the winning touchdown for his HS football team...in 1975 or so.. | |

I like to post. Generally the negativity doesn't much bother me. There are a few people floating around that irritate me, but thats true of any part of a person's life. Ignore and eventually either they go away or you will. | |

Yep, this is what I've been saying in many threads and honestly many of us had to work through this same notion.
It's not socially acceptable to NOT know about sex, which I personally think is the wrong attitude. For me, someone interesting in learning about sex is a more interesting partner than one who claims to know everything. Braggarts usually suck in bed.
I've learned a few things in these forums and the amount of emails I received did go down, but as many of us regular posters have learned "we don't want to hide ourselves and someone's gonna figure us out anyway".
I know for me, I find many of the regular forum posters more attractive than those that do not. But yeah, they are usually halfway around the world!
I agree that it's good to ask questions, but as another poster said above, many people post about their "exploits" or ask questions to get men/women to respond so they can email them for their own titilation. I think most of us can tell when the thread is serious.
On a lighter note....who here misses the self-sucking thread? Damn fine entertainment. | |

About the subject..Sorry to hear about Ms Micki, I read quite a few of her posts, looks like we hang out in the same forums. Never was offended by her posts.
I like posting on the forums. I like reading posts, it tells a lot about people.
What they like, what they don't, they view about things. Yeah, there is a lot of BS too.
What I don't like, is if someone have a different opinion about something and he/she post a comment, sometimes the fight starts, name calling etc.
I sometimes voice my opinion about something, and I don't want to hear any negative stuff, just say you disagree with me, without starting a fight.

I've got a lot of positive feedback in regards to my posts - nice people!
This seems to be my experience for the most part. When it comes to these threads I realize the response will follow me in my history forever so I choose my words wisely.
I have had quite a few messages from men from different parts of the country who were impressed with the way I responded to a given topic. They write just to say they like the way I think.
I have had a few women contact me, and ask me a question they did not feel comfortable posting, but that was discussed in the forum. They saw my forum post and wanted to ask my opinion.
I have yet to be called a tramp, whore or trollop for anything I said here by either a man or a woman. I have not been overtly propositioned by anyone who read my forum posts. I guess I should consider myself lucky that my feedback for the most part has been positive.
Now I have had hate mail from some other posts on the forum in other topics like dating or relationships, or over 45 threads. I never could understand why someone would personally attack a stranger, especially when you are not even fishing in the same pond. Go figure. | |
