| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/11/2006 8:51:26 PM | | One true love, 2 likes alot. I have a similar story. When we broke up my skin ached for his touch like an addiction. He was horrible to me in the end, but after 12 years i decided that yes I could still be in love with him but there is no way in hell that we could ever work, because i have changed so much. Frankly he could not handle me now. He was gorgeous, loving, knew all the right things to say, generous. The s*x you ask? The only word that can be used here is mind blowing. I still get flutters when I see him or talk to him. The only problem is that he completey wrecked me. He cheated, manipulated me, and made me feel like all our problems were my fault. I decided that I really didn't deserve that and maybe he was the one with the problem. So my advice to you is it is ok to still be in love and I do believe that it can last forever, almost 13 years for me now, but it is ok to still love them and not be with them. Maybe even better. | |

Once when I was 34..... He would tell me he loved me and I told him if and when I say it he'll know I mean it... (I don't just throw those words around!) he cried when I finally fell inlove with him and told him..... I love you!
He opened doors I didn't know existed in my heart!!!!

| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/14/2007 2:20:30 PM | The answer for me is 3 times. Which means I have 3 more times to fall in love again. Does that suck or what? You mean I have at least 2 more times to look forward to the heartbreak that comes if those next 2 don't work out. Jeez, why the heck did you have to depress me on Valentine's Day. Just compound the issue will ya. LOL. Its only after the breakup that you realize...ok, I was in love with her, but not in love enough where she was my true love, where this would have worked no matter what the issues were. Damn, I'm so depressed. Now, where did I put my friggin' pills. LOL | |

| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/14/2007 5:13:25 PM | | I would say that I have been in love 2x's...the first one lasted 10yrs, the second one was almost 4 years. I loved my last boyfriend, too...but we weren't really together long enough for me to truly experience the love that I did with my former boyfriends. | |

| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/14/2007 5:34:42 PM | | After carefully examining my life this past while and reflecting on past relationships, i have NEVER been in love, factuated, lustfull, intrigued, has been about it. If any of those partners had any real love associated with them, i would not be single. Nope, not gloomy about it at all, true love has never found me yet, if it does, wonderful, if not, meh, then no biggie, i am more of a realist now about i how i percieve things, its good for a change to step out of the box.. | |

Seriously though, love is something that never ends, love survives even betrayal, and death. You may hate the things that the person did to you, know its smart to never ever give them a chance to do it to you again, but I think real love never dies.
In my case, twice, many I have gone out with and didnt think again of them, but twice I still have the feeling inside me for them. It survived many years in both cases, one ended in her death, the other betrayed me.
Both, I still feel love for, even though its a bitter feeling at times.

| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/14/2007 8:51:28 PM | | twice for me... once when i was young and stupid and pushed her away, and one that ended just over a year ago by her choice. and i totally agree with dunrich, love never does die.. both girls that i "loved" did some pretty horrible things to me to break up with me and i still greatly for them. if they ever needed help and it was something i could actually do for them i would be there in a second for them. | |

| How many times have you been in love? Posted: 2/14/2007 9:42:10 PM | | I have been in love only once in my life and it was wonderful. Due to timing in our lives we could not stay together. That was many years ago and I really hope that one day I will be able to hand my self over to someone like that again, until then I will keep going as I am and enjoy what life has to offer me in the meantime. | |
