| How many times have you been in love?

This may sound terrible, but I have loved deeply but I am not sure that I ever have been in love.
I'm with you......and no, I don't think it sounds terrible. I know that at the time, I did believe I was in love but, looking back and doing alot of painful soul searching....I've come to the understanding that I too have never been in love. | |

I haven't been in love all that much, but wanted to post to clear my profile of unwanted previous posts, found that new posting got rid of that stuff.
Anyway, so I don't completely waste your time,,, I was in love. Not just once but a number of times.
I found that lack of communication was the culprit of the demise.

Posted: 6/20/2005 10:20:21 PM | I was truly in love three times, the first one wanted me to move away with me and I wouldn't go (that one was my fault), the second I was in love with him and he was in love with me and he moved away and didn't ask me to go ( that was his fault), and the third one, I was in love with him and he was in love with me and we didn't do anything about it ( that was both our faults).... I don't know... I guess I am just bad at it when it comes to being in love.  | |

Posted: 6/21/2005 12:19:31 PM | My definition of "in love" when I was 20 is totally different than my definition of it today, but it felt just as honest and painful both times...
How many times?
once at 16 (teenage adolescent love is EXTREMEMLY painful and pathetic, don't u agree?)
once at 22 (still love the guy...he was a wonderful man for that point in my life, but I'm no longer "in love" with him)
once at 33 thru 38...and I'm STILL in love with him...(too bad it didn't work out, and that I can't just let it go...)
and I'm looking forward to falling in love again at 45, at 60, etc...

My husband died after 14 wonderful years together and I've yet to fall for anyone that hard again. When and if I do, I'll gladly give up singledom to make him part of the rest of my life. | |

Therefore, I make it happen each and everytime, then I'll be in love again.
