physically there are many reasons why people are ugly. some where born that way and there are others that have had terrible accidents. some have been in fights and got cut up real bad. the list can go on for ever. | |

Life is more than looks, it's a hell of a lot more but way too many have made it abundantly clear they speak with a forked tongue when it comes to this issue..They say things don't matter and they judge a person by who they are, yet you read the forums or write to them and you find out they are all bunk... seems way too many are focusing here on the outter wrapping..so tell me many of you keep saying looks don't matter, it's getting to know what's inside, but how do you do this, if you are too shallow to even talk to someone?....
Some people have even openly went after a person and made remarks about their looks on these forums and that to me is the sign of a very callous person..There are some people who are very vulnerable, and since you don't know their lifes circumstances you should at least try and be human..Me, I am who I am and consider myself attractive enough..I'm simply not what most men go for because I'm looking for friendship first and I'm not into sleeping around..This is ok, and I'm not after a man who can't accept me for who I am..So I accept that most men won't even write or answer back..That's ok and I don't complain about that..I guess all I'm really saying is you asked about ugliness and that is something that is not measured in appearances, It's the hardest thing to see ...YOu can only see it if you are looking for it..pay attention to how someone treats their kids, family members, friends, strangers, pay attention to if someone is always blaming others and not accepting any responsibilty for their own actions, pay attention to the words they write and the things they say that matter and then pay attention and see if those words are true, or simply words...
I'm not picking on anyone and this is something you get all over..The truth is some men and women will choose Looks over substance and what matters everytime and then be so unhappy and wonder why a few years down the road..So true ugliness is not on the outside..It's what lays hidden inside ...

The personality of a person is key to ones beauty.
I met a hot looking women on her looks was a 9.9 out of ten, but if you added her personality to the equation, she was a negative 5.
She always had a hard time getting a 2nd date even with the fat guys, because all she did was put down people and said how much better she was than eveyone else. Funny thing she never had a long term relationship.
I met a women who was a 4 out of 10 as I got to know her she became a 9 out of 10 and I regret to this day not telling that I loved her, but left hints that I wanted to date her. | |

you can have a awsome personality and be ugly.
or you can be attractive and have a crappy personality.
no matter how nice a person is on the inside does not make them more attractive on the outside. | |

As far as physical appearance...someone who doesn't take pride in their bodies/image...you only have one, so treat it good! And make it look like you're proud of yourself, not a slob. lol | |

Posted: 8/10/2005 1:04:21 AM | I saw a show by Desmond Morris once that indicated that some studies have shown that symmetry has a lot to do with what humans find attractive in each other. It went on to suggest that there are certain ratios and relationships between various features that can account for "beauty". The most amazing part of the show was when they showed hundreds of different pictures of faces to people all over the world, from widely different cultures and found a commonality between what people considered beautiful and not.
Beyond the physical I totally agree with many points above about how a person's views, attitude and general approach to life contribute to attractiveness or beauty.
This would explain the age old problem where people comment on how the opposite sex responds to them much more when they are in a relationship then they do when they are lonely and single..... | |

Posted: 8/10/2005 5:51:20 AM | the more symmetric your face is the more beautiful you are! scientists did a study on this and moulded a face using mathematics and said that Tom cruise's face fits perfectly to this model moulded face that they maded. True story, it was a documentary. very interesting
Maths can even give a percentage on how symmetric a face is! | |
