I go online to pass my quiet times and to play poker as well as visit the forums to spout some bollix.
The key is to be true to your partner and avoid any possible contentious situations.

However, with more experience of being on dating sites I now think it's ok for either/both parties to 'socialise' on-line, as long as they're not actively looking for anyone else. I'd hope they'd be socialising with me if they're serious though!!!! | |

I also chat sometimes alot and have a lot of contacts...some are friends...some are guys I see occasionally...and some are potential dates or friends!! You don't just get off line or stop chatting because of a date. I do or have liked a guy but am or was afraid it might not become a committed relationship? I personally will give up all the guys I see and potential dates, except my friends male or female, for the righ man, but not till he lets me know he likes me excusively and we are right for eachother. That is when certain changes are made and I don't mean you try to change a person. People are who they are because of lifes experiences each person has lived. You shouldn't try to change a person, you should love them for who they are and what they like to do or you don't belong with them. Just because you have a relationship doesn't mean you give up the things you like to do, each person should live their own life and be their own identity. when you are with someone in a ralationship it comes down to trust. Trust needs to be earned. It takes time to get to know someone so don't be in such a rush. Be honest and keep your integrety. | |

Posted: 10/7/2009 8:55:53 PM | I arranged to meet up with a lady from here not too long ago. After making the arrangement I went online that night as usual to check my messages. There was one message from the lady in question; it said “What are you still doing online now that you have me?”
The following day I sent her a text explaining that I wouldn’t be able to make the date after all as some unexpected urgent business cropped up that needed my attention. Thankfully I haven’t heard from her since! | |

Sounds like you had a lucky escape..
I am seeing a guy who I met here and I still come on to this site - just out of habit I guess - but I have no interest in mailing guys - and I have my profile hidden. He knows I have not deleted my profile but he does not seem to mind - He has his deleted. But he is not spend as much time on line as me.
But I guess there are some who come on line and still are on the look out - guess they are just not happy with their catch.
I mean, ok, if you like someone you would think well why are they still on an internet dating site - but you know - as things move on and if both parties are honest there should be no problem. | |
