Yes. My massage therapist of 2 years was out of town visiting his family. They replaced him with another man and yes we chatted on a dating website but it didn't go anywhere because he was coming across as a player and jerk. But he couldn't decline giving a customer in his place of employment a massage.

Yeah, I've actually met 2. Both of them are waitresses at a restaurant near where I work and I'm in there 2-3 times a month, they put their profiles up together.

no but I live in Houston, which if you include all the suburbs, is about 10 million people. So my chances are seeing a POF'er are slim.

^ I would *so* be getting a refund for *that* one man!!!

as for the recognition , no one has come right out and said it but I'm sure (well almost sure) that I saw someone at a wedding that has a profile (which I remember recently checking out even!) on here.... I was *nowhere* near intoxicated enough to talk to him about it though (I joke).

I guess since we're all on here ,we're all out there in the big bad world too ,so it's bound to happen!

I saw a profile on here that looked familiar, and it ended up being someone I went on a date with from another site, and I know he knows that it's me. He was odd though - halfway through our date he informed me that he wanted to peform oral sex on me...right there at the steps of the Licoln Memorial. NICE!

I actually emailed him to see if he wanted some of the photos we took while sightseeing...no answer - he's probably upset I didn't drop my panties right there for good ole' abe to see. WHaaaat ever...he was ODD! lol

Based on my most recent experiences I'd have to agree with lostincali...the last few women I have met looked so little like their pictures I had a hard time recognizing them even though I was there specifically to meet them! lol

Well I guess I can find consolation in knowing that I look like my pictures!

As a matter of fact yes!!!! Happend a couple times actually... but then again I live in a small town! LOL It was so wild! A guy on here wrote me and we had corresponded back and forth quite a bit. We had never swapped phone numbers or anything. He owns his own construction company. He wrote me one day and said he had to do a construction job that day and would talk to me later. Great looking guy and sexy too! I live out in the country and my house sits back pretty far off the road and Well ..I walk down my driveway to check the mail and low and behold he is on the roof across the street from my house! I am horribly shy at first and it took A LOT of nerve on my part to even push myself across the street to say hi. Finally I worked up my nerve and I marched over there and he was on the roof and I just looked up at him and said " HEY" LOL The look on his face was just as priceless as the look on my face. Then come to find out he knew my whole family and played cards with my dad! LOL So that was so wild. He worked on that roof for a few weeks and we saw each other every day for awhile. Then my dad got ill and our relationship sort of fell apart due to I had no time for anything except caring for my father.

The second time was at a gas station and this guy was looking at me all strange like and when I was walking out he said " Hey you are that girl on POF" LOL we had a good laugh and talked for awhile.

I've somehow ended up on a couple guys profiles either thru forums or some girl's testimonial that are coworkers or clients. Kinda weird.

I saw a guy from here working as a waiter in a restaurant.
He had such a sad look on his face. It still bothers me in how sad he looked.

I can beat you on that one.
On another site I was matched up with this guy, who happened to be sleeping on my couch at that exact moment..... he was my brother.
So, being the smartazz I am, I sent him a message telling him the physical distance was too far.

a few times. i'm bound to see a fishie or two that i've chatted to or dated turn up to the POF dos that come up from time to time (this city has a fishie who plans parties regularly and good on him for doing so) so that doesn't really count. otherwise, there are two.

one goes to my gym. funny part is we both act like we don't know each other is on the site when we're in person. so unless some brilliant ice-breaker comes along to get the two of us chatting, it'll probably remain that way :D

the other was a fishie i'd just began talking to. was at a popular spot and thought i saw her in the crowd. given i'd never met her i couldn't be sure, so just sent her a message later that day to ask whether she was there or not...

...to which she replied yes... she was on a date there with someone else!

every so often i might have a friend or colleague watching me "fish" on the site and they'll recognise someone that they didn't realise was on POF, so its a small world.

I was at a truck stop one night, fuel problems, and could not get fuel to go from one tank to the other. I was up all night driving, still had a long ways to go, hadn't had my shower for the day, and spent a great deal of time crawling under my truck diagnosing my problem. I went into the station to find out if they would take my check, they would, as I was walking out, this guy getting a soda, said hello, he was dirty from getting off work at a construction site. I said hello, and that was that.

Two days later, I received an email in my POF. Apparently the guy who said hello was also a POF member, and had tried to contact me once or twice. His picture did NOT do him justice, and we ended up chatting. He has since gone back to his ex g/f, and we don't talk anymore.

The irony lies in the fact that neither of had expected to meet, and if it wasn't for POF, we never would have gotten past that first Hello, the night at the truck stop. So sometimes things happen for a reason... You just never know...

This is one reason why I do not have a picture here; so that no one will recognize me.

Twice. Incredibly awkward both times. Still went out with one of them.
