Thats the way to think,, I think it would take alot to getme to move, I almost did with someone i was dating after about a year, but she ended up comming this way, , i find it hard to just sellmy house that I have struggled for 12 years to keep on my own, and leave my job, most of the women I have met rented an apartment so it seemed better to com eto a solid foundation, I guess i would not rule it out but would not just drop every thing with out a fail safe plan first | |

Having lived in 8 states and attending 13 different school as a kid I already have a phobia of moving.
I managed to escape from Dallas to a small town. My house and land are paid for and I'm closer to most of what family I have left.

First of all, I only look for people who are local.
I think that it would be easier for me to determine what kind of person they are and how I want them to fit in my life if they lived close by.
Being near my family/friends is very important. I'm not going to drop a huge chunk of my life for some guy.

Posted: 1/27/2005 3:25:02 PM | I'd move in a second. There are some things you just have to do or you'll regret them forever. Would I move for a chance at a better life in love? fvck yes. You have to look around you and weight yer options but all in all....what is important? Sometimes you have to be selfish in love. People say they have kids and they don't want to move for their sake. I moved 10 times between k-12 growing up and I managed just fine. Your children will make new friends and they will become better people because you are happy. Your friends will always be your friends and who would you rather visit once every few months? Your lover or your friends? Oh you have a good job....do you love your job? maybe thats a concern. Well if you love your job more than you love your "match" then you just have to re-adjust yer priorities.
I have alot going for me where I live but I would gladly give it all up for a chance at love.
For all the pessimists...i said a chance. If bad things happen you can always go back to your old life or take that chance to start a new one. | |
