If you look on the main page, TCPL has also updated it, with a map and he is organizing a couple of pre-meets for earlier in the night.. I do recomend going to one of these if this is your first event, or you dont know anyone that is attending this one here in Red Deer..

Posted: 1/18/2009 7:12:47 AM | I figured I'd best remind everyone that we're lining up a couple pre-meets. We do them to allow some of the people less familiar with the 100+ person meets. If you were shy, you'd probably struggle with stepping in to a pub where 100+ people were there for the same reason as you. On the other hand, showing up some place that only had 7-10 people would allow you to form some early connections with people of both genders, allowing you to not feel so alone upon entering the 100+ crowd later on.
Anyway so far only two people have shown interest so far. Space IS limited but right now there's lots of room. And you don't have to be new to this. I don't care who signs up - everyone is welcome to sign up. It's first come first serve though. Sometimes it helps having a few "seasoned veterans" at a pre-meet, just to help the newer people relax a bit.

It's not a huge deal but you're less likely to be lost in the possible onslaught of sudden event thread messages that sometimes happen on here. You know.. nothing for three days, then all of a sudden, SPANG! eight people go into discussion mode (I'm not against that). I might not get around to reading it. So make sure you're contacting me via my profile. One person found my e-mail address on the link page I set up, and that's ok too (because apparently it only filters spam). So we'll do our best to get at least one pre-meet happening!
