Posted: 10/17/2009 2:06:10 PM | My opinion as a tatoo artist...people get tattoos for all kinds of different reasons. If it's a turnoff, I don't see that as any different than preference in height, weight, eye color, or race. Just a suggestion, try asking what the tattoo signifies. The answer might make the piece, and the person that much more attractive (or less lol!). Everyone is entitled to their own opinion right?
Personally, I can appreciate both. I have dated plenty of gals with blank canvas, and plenty of heavily inked ones. Can't say that I've noted any particular differences between those who do and those who don't!

 Right. People with tattoos (myself included) should equate ourselves with segregation. That's not an over-reaction, or disrespectful to people who actually had to suffer through it.

Same thing with breast implants. The idea of a shriveled up body with torpedos bolted on strikes me as very weird, indeed. I guess people can get rid of them later. If too many tats, they're going to be all scarred up when they get them lasered off, though. Not a pretty scene!  | |

Posted: 11/8/2009 6:51:16 PM | I don't like tattoos, and I would never get one. I can deal with a woman with a small one somewhere, but those ones on the lower backside are usually unattractive and gaudy-looking . Of course, the women who get them don't ever have to look at them.
I realize that not everyone is impulsive when deciding to get a tat, but so many are. And, I wonder what the state of mind is of those people who get self-demeaning tats on their face, neck, and chest. | |

i have 3 tats and i LOVE them. they are very personal and not something that I just did on a whim. Some people like tats and some do not. It's just like some people like blondes but some prefer brunettes.

A lot of people are getting those tats in prison, or are gang members, which accounts for the tats on the face and neck.
I once saw a young woman with "Loser" tattooed on her neck, and "Reject" on her forehead. Unless she's very wealthy, she just ruined her life.
I've seen it when people try to remove tats of former SOs. It ain't pretty, and they are scarred for life. I guess a lot of people just don't think about how permanent they are. | |

I am guessing they are much more accepted by the under 30 crowd, but what does the over 30 crowd think? I am guessing it is more like mine. I have never liked tats on a woman much and they all seem to be getting these cute little tats these days. To me this makes a woman look cheap, like a cigarette does when I see a gorgeous woman light up.
Any opinions here?
10 years ago i used to agree, i have since gone 180 and i like them now with the caveat i'm still not fond of them on breasts | |
