Just got my first last year. Yeah the under 30 crowd is more accepting, it is also more common that they will have tattoos. People over 30 are of a generation where tattoos were something their uncle who was in Vietnam, or in the military ended up getting. Or you got one when you were drunk.
If it is a crappy tattoo on a gorgeous woman, then it is like hanging a black velvet Elvis in the Louver, major turn off. But if the woman put thought, as well as effort into her tattoo, and it is done right... Hubba-Hubba!

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 10/25/2011 4:23:09 PM | Nice one!! Looks like it took awhile too...
Unique...I would move the age up.....more so the 40 + crowd. I'm 35, turning 36 and it is more common for a 30 something to have at least one whereas the 40 year olds are still in the mindset you were thinking.
Granted....regardless of age, there are more then enough people who get tattoos while drunk or high.

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/13/2011 9:55:01 PM | | I'm an accounting major, and generally dress very conservatively, so unless you saw me at the beach or naked you'd never know I have 7 tattoos underneath my clothing and multiple piercings. Each one of my tattos is a tribute or symbol to someone in my life, and only the two smallest ones on my right foot and left wrist can be seen daily. I'll be 34 in January, and yes, I know one day they're not going to look great, but I expect by that point, I probably won't be too worried about anyone seeing me nude. I don't judge anyone for NOT having a tattoo, so I don't expect anyone to judge me for the choices I've made about my body art. For occupational purposes, shoes and a watch (or a long sleeved shirt) will cover the two that are easily visible. It's all a matter of personal choice; ink on a man can be sexy or not, depends on the ink & what it means to the man. In the last few years, the majority of men I've dated have had little or no ink, and haven't complained about mine. So if it's a dealbreaker for someone, it is what it is, and he and I can go our separate ways, no hard feelings. I'm sure we all have dealbreakers of some sort, right? | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/15/2011 4:23:43 PM | | I have Tats and I smoke that does NOT make me cheap. Tats are a form of art as for the smoking.well..I know I need to quit that.Im just saying that you shouldnt build an opinion on someone on THAT basis.Thats just low | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/17/2011 6:55:59 AM | | I myself have a few tats and have thought about getting another. Most of the women I've dated have also had ink as well, but not all. It depends on the tat though. Artistic, creative and unique can be hot, but I also find excessive ink a turn off. A few here and there is ok, but when a gal is covered from head to toe in ink just seems like she's seeking attention. At least to me. | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/20/2011 6:00:37 PM | | I have, at last count, 13 tats. Only one of them is visible everyday and yes, I do consider that one to have been a bad choice. Even with 12 of them that I do not regret in the least I have to say a tat on a woman it isn't always very attractive. I have seen some women who's tats were not professionally done, were large and guady, or just really plain (all black, no color) that didn't look good at all. That isn't to say all women with art look bad or anything, it's just recently I have started seeing women with some really lousy work done. So in other words, it all depends on the work itself, but too much is just too much, it needs to be concealable. | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/20/2011 6:59:58 PM | I have numerous tattoos, and highly visable ones too - both arms are done, my back and legs & foot as well. I am also a soccer mom, member of the PTA, former Chairperson of a very successful not-for-profit community organization, 20 year volunteer for another community organization and am successful financially. My tattoos are neither little nor cute and I have never been accused of looking cheap.
The difference between tattooed people and untattooed people? We don't care if you don't have tattoos.

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/23/2011 8:31:43 PM | A lot of you men probably haven't seen that many hot chicks with tattoos I don't think. In South Florida all these trendy young chicks get full sleeves, necks, hands, everything. Just joined this and fb so don't know exactly if you can see my friends over there or not, but there's probably 50 of them on my page already from here.
Check out Suicide Girls and Burning Angel burlesque Crews. They (meaning every girl around here), all pose for "Pin-up". Some get money, some don't. Tattoo shops in Ft. Lauderdale like Vatican Ink, Aces High, Black Rose, and Epic in Boynton Beach should also yield some.
I'd rather have a totally pristine girl, and do date Barbie-stripper types, but end up being with a lot of super-hot chicks with mad tatts, nipple, clit, face piercings. A few girls had their tongue's split on the end like a serpent, and after a while can move each side independently. Add a vibrating tongue ring and you have a pretty interesting blowjob.
As for them being permanent, they no longer are. Besides advances in removal, they just came out with new ink that is formulated to break apart easier under laser on a molecular level. My girl Pani Meshkati that owns Epic is sponsored by the company. They picked some of the best artists in the country to be their reps. She is one. And a sick artist. If you get a nasty tatt in prison; the depth of the ink is erratic and deep. If an artist has a "heavy hand", it is a bad thing. They will tend to "dig you up", where you get scarring. Pani also does oil painting, her hand is more gentle. This does not render the colors any less significant though. Makes removal easier. When your skin is old they won't look that good no matter what. Get them while you can if you're contemplating it.
You are all on a dating site. If you want to hook up with someone hot and/or get a tatt, fly here for the weekend and get one. Not a good place to be married though. Ha. Better girls and night-life than Cali, Vegas, or New York we have down here. And hotter girls. These attract hot guys for you girls. I choose to keep tattoos under my t-shirt where a lot of my friends get them up their necks, legs, down their hands, and on their faces. Scattered, sporadic tatts are unfashionable. Also, forget the "tramp stamp" and get a full back piece.
Lastly, we have a saying in Broward County; "Friends don't let friends get armbands!"
Ha. Peace... | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/23/2011 9:12:04 PM | I think they're sexy on a woman. It certainly isn't something I look for but when a woman has them especially the really creative and artistic ones I think it's a beautiful thing.
As for myself? Nah, no thanks. Not my cup of tea for my own body. Kind of odd I suppose but there it is.

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/26/2011 6:36:27 PM | | I couldn't possibly read all 41 pages but I love tattoos. I have several myself I even love them on women. I think body art is something unique to each person and just because a small percent of people will look in your direction with curled up noses is no reason not to express yourself.IMO. | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/27/2011 2:04:51 AM | | I am not a fan of tattoos on a lady, either. There is nothing better than looking at a beautiful lady's natural body. For her to fill it with tattoos and piercings is a shame even if it is her right to do so. | |

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/27/2011 1:45:03 PM | Some puritanical views, eh gents? I think it's regional and cultural; if you are involved in Punk, Hardcore, Skins, Motorcycle Clubs, or gangs, then tatts are your/our legacy and a integral part of the culture and one that describes the mental and sociological mindscapes of the participants.
If you live in South Florida or Cali, it's just everywhere now. So many young, hot girls down here go get their whole arms, neck, hands, or whatever or want that, and also get clit and nipple piercings and everything and play with sex toys and get with other girls at like 19 yrs. old. If you're out in the bar/club/stripper scene in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-West Palm beach you are going to eventually end up banging (hopefully) on of these sorts of chicks. Then you'll get past a lot of those hang-ups. I did. First one with a clit ring was kind of daunting though honestly! Ha...
I like a pristine old-school California blond because I grew up in the 80's, but you guys have to bang one of these young (or older) chicks that are skinny/hot body with big fake tits, beautiful face, edgy disconnected haircut, and a lot of big, colorful, high quality work before you can honestly say if you really mind it that much.

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/27/2011 4:04:07 PM | Wow, Civil War re-enactor? That sounds pretty cool, at least to me. To experience something even in re-enaction is to see it in a way that simple reading or watching can never duplicate in terms of the impact on the entire phyche/mind/persona. That's what I feel the significance of the Freemasonic rituals/Ancient Mysteries hold in any case.
But yeah, I know plenty of Rockablly/Phychobilly cats. A old-folks home for Skins it is. Down here we got the Monterrey Club in Ft. Lauderdale you'd like, Saints and Sinners car club the main Crew, Slip and the Slipouts probably best associated band.

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 11/27/2011 4:24:50 PM | Yes the Rockabilly/Pyschobilly scene is where we old Skins go to fade into the sunset...
We actually have a decent scene here locally plus we are close enough to head to NYC, Philly, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore for an evening or weekend away and catch a show.

As for men, I love tattoos!

| what is everyones opin on tattoos? Posted: 1/28/2012 11:22:35 AM | I love tattoos and the very idea of them. Skin art, individuality, self-expression and creativity are all wonderful things. I'm only impressed with original work that means something personal to the owner. Putting bands or logos on your flesh is the exact opposite and I don't think I could respect someone who paid money to make themselves an advertisement.
One of these days, I'll get my maternal and paternal family crests put on my shoulders. Otherwise, I've never seen something I could be certain I'd want to have permanently drawn onto my skin.
I'd love to date an "illustrated woman" and study her body like I was reading a book but lately, I come across pretty "white bread" and can't keep up with them anymore.
