Posted: 3/21/2007 7:20:23 AM | I like tattoos, just not on me.The coloured ink ones are my favourite,as opposed to the thick black Tribal & Celtic ones.On a man, the forearms are a good place to have them displayed,along with shoulder blades & lower leg.Other than that,I don't have an opinion.

Message: I'm a 42 year old white color guy in the midwest. Tattoo's are definitley un-cool amongst most people my type.
They seem cooler among the younger crowd and blue colar.
I bet in other regions of the country tatoos could be popular amongst the white colar crowd.

I am white collar (notice the spelling, its NOT color) midwest and about your age. I like them but I think they need to be artistic and not just a blotch of ink. I have seen some that very few artists could accomplish on canvas, let alone on skin...

MY tattoos are there to remind ME about something/help me remember something and help me express those remembrances and feelings to others - if they don't care to hear, and most don't, so be it. My tats are for ME...you don't like 'em, you don't like me, don't care to hear about me and my stuff - and so, are not someone I wanna be with. It helps if they're artistic/pretty, and then they're just fun to show off.
I think tats should be very personal - often, they aren't. I think if you're gonna have something on your body for the rest of your life, it oughtta mean something to you... | |

Posted: 3/24/2007 4:25:38 AM | I've been wanting one particular tat for 10 years (yes, I think I have thought about it just long enough) and so I am going on my 40th birthday to get that one done. The other one is a new idea, but I think it's a keeper as well.
One of the coolest tats I have ever seen was a guy with a Celtic cross that stretched from his ankle to his knee, very detailed and colorful, and wrapped around the leg. It was awesome!!!
I love tats--think for the most part, they are a very sexy form of self-expression.

hey wot a great debate.... I happen to have 2 tattoos myself and i love them...They are in private places and all the blokes i have met love discovering them (and naming them for some strange reason)..... I do think they need to be in good taste though otherwise yes it looks naff....and yes i am a bit partial to blokes with tats, i find them a turn on .... well thats my opinion anway lol | |

I Got a beautiful flower design that stretches across my lower back and I got complimented quite often. My other tattoo is on my ankle , it hurt as well but not as much on the lower back , it vibrated the bone and the skins very thin there being Im tiny to begin with. Your right you don't get to see it unless you look in a mirror but its there for all else to see. But I would consider more work on it, the pain really didn't bother me too much! | |

To me a tat is about the same it's body grafitti and is defacing the natural beauty of what nature provided. | |
