Posted: 12/7/2008 8:06:47 PM | I kind of knew what my other students thought of me but this one dropped out after I taught him and he came back to take a different field. The other guys were disappointed when they found out that I would not be teaching them this year. I’m happy I got a chance to find out that I can teach, I’m disappointed politics is the reason I am not doing it now.
Another memorable moment, being told I had a better chance of getting the teaching position if I was not already an employee of the college. | |

Posted: 12/12/2008 10:03:47 PM | My most memorable moment was holding my first grandchild in my arms. Many other moments just hanging out with her, many more moments to come.
Also (taking the cue from posters above) being told that I'm a good teacher, by my students. That makes all the hard work worth it.
Booking a flight to NYC for Spring Break. Will be my first time.
Meeting a man who really cared for me, breaking up with him because he's just not "the one." Hopes and dreams and regret for what is not to be.
Seeing Elton John live and seeing a play at MTC Warehouse that was very memorable, a choral concert at a church that at times sounded like angels singing...... etc.....
Moments etched in the heart, to be taken out and savoured as memories, forever.
Finding supportive female friendship in a group of exceptional women.
Being told I have a tumour in my breast................ memorable not in a good way! Hoping that the New Year will reveal that it's benign.
Next memorable moment coming next week ..........putting my arms around my son at the airport after not seeing him for a year.
Life is good!

*Having time with friends that I may not see again after I've moved in 2009.
*Sitting on a beautiful beach and listening to the waves crash against the shore.
*Standing on top of a mountain.
*Spending time with my family after being away. | |

Coming back to life...deciding to come out of Seclusion...Intimacy after 16 years of Celibacy...Deciding not to become a Nun...Summer on the Nude Beach with my own Thoughts...Trying to decipher the Male Species...Quitting my Job after 19 years...Going thru my 2nd Childhood...Leaving a Stone at The Holocoust Memorial...
Spending some of my investments...Discovering I can survive without working for someone else...Feeling Helpless as my lifelong friend fought a Difficult Battle...
Losing her on December 10th...Losing other friends and making new ones...
Ending the Year with a Voyage of Discovery..will venture off to New Zealand for the next 6 months...Open Mind, Open Heart, When a door closes...a window opens....

meeting a great group of people through baseball
watching someone special take his first motorcycle ride
took a wonderful motorcycle trip to ON
sadly my dad passed away
took a long hiatus from work (starting back on monday)
found out who my truest friends were through a difficult time in my life
took a girlfriend of mine on her first motorcycle ride
setting up and teaching a University certified program
watching my last chick fly the coop......ok......so I pushed him a little

finding wonderful friends that mean the world to me
taking my first motorcycle ride - wahoo what a blast (since 17 yrs)
first camping trip (since I was 15 yrs) when can we go again huh
lost some weight
fell in an out of lust
learned how to Salsa - and to do other latin dances
learned to accept me for who I am
began to write a novel
and that is only some of the wonderful things

I say that is my year.... 2009. I hit the big 4-0 and should I be accepting of it, I have made some plans, I have made some changes, I have made some reservations. I actually look forward to 2009! | |

...meeting someone very special and enjoying some wonderful times together
...ending that relationship
...taking a great bike trip to Sioux Narrows
...watching my boys finally grown up and become men
...my father died after a long battle with illness
...playing in a baseball in February, during a blizzard and snow up to our knees
...meeting some really great people through baseball
...finding some new and wonderful friends through POF
...getting back into painting and writing poetry
...getting a cell phone finally cuz my friends harassed me about getting with the times
...taking 6 months off work due to illness
...moving to a cute little apartment
...buying things for me and my apt...most of my money used to go to my boyz
...reconnecting with old freinds
...joining Facebook....excellent forum for keeping in touch and finding people that you haven't seen in years!
