He suggested to go for a pizza, not you.

He is a jerk...he wanted to eat the pizza and also wanted you to pay the bill.

I never once said I EXPECT anything, Im just curious when the whole dating thing becomes a two way street. What would happen, honestly ... if on date (insert # here) the guy didn't look at the bill or make any move toward it. Wouldnt that piss you ladies off and in turn not like said guy anymore??? How many times do you have to date a guy befor you ... ladies... decide that this guy is worth Your money??? Thats all I'm askin here nothin more, nothing less.

Here’s a question.

What if you’re both wondering what to do on a Saturday night and she suggests a movie, to which you agree, and then you suggest dinner, after. Does she pay for the movie and the guy pay for the dinner?

All these little "rules" are hilarious! And I love the equality double standards that run rampant on this board.

Uh, no it wouldn't. I, generally followed the rule 'whomever invites, pays' but I'm always prepared to pay. If he makes a move toward the check, I'll let him pay. If he doesn't make a move for the check, I'll pay. Mainly because I HATE fighting over the check. Used to hate that when I was younger and dad vs grandpa vs uncle would fight over it. It always came across as the gentlemen's version of a p*ssing contest.

When I dated a man I knew simply would not let me pay, even when I invited him, I would arrange with the hostess on the way in to either give me the check, or I'd excuse myself to go to the 'restroom' and pay then.

It isn't based on a number of dates, it's just based on the circumstances at the time. And it's NOT based on whether I think he's worth my MONEY, it's whether I think he's worth my TIME.

You may have 2 croutons. No more, no less.

EDIT: Truth, you're so attractive, you can have an ice tea and put some chicken on that salad if you wanted ;)

You should've wiped your plate with the bill and put it in his mouth! That's what I'd do!

OP: sounds like you caught that fish swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool! Even if I was such a bitter misogynist, I'd be embarrassed to throw a fit over a cheap date like that!

Jelica I think what bothers me is that you are a victim waiting for a place to happen; what is the common denominator to all of your dates; YOU.

You need to see why you choose so poorly.

women especially choose terrible guys and then are shocked when it doesn't work out.

Choose wiser.

This man obvously overrreacted toa situation..maybe we don't have the whole picture, there may have been some underlying hostility here...perhaps a bad date or something...my experience has been that I have only had one woman who abused my generosity...she told me she wasn't very hungry, and said she would just order an appetizer...she proceeded to order four appetizers, and a salad, an ate small amounts from each plate...Ihave this peeve about people who order huge amounts of food and leave 3/4 on their plate...I find this disrespectful, and wastefulll what is the pint of this behaviour??why not just order a salad and then tell me to throw a twenty dollar bill out the window!!??

But, for the most part, even though I still haven't found Miss Right.. I have met some proper woman here...life is good.

The men I have met on here have all misrepresented themselves. They were all wimps and could not hold a conversation if their life depended on it. No social skills what-so-ever. I am outta here. This process simply is not for me. I want a confident man who KNOWS how to treat a lady and hold a conversation. Best of luck people.

I'm sorry to hear that for both our sakes, fabybaby.

Other men's falsehoods unfairly become my liability by association for only the fact that I am a man on this site. I wish that I could say that the more jerks there are that I am in competition against here, the better it is for me because I am an honest man -but their bad reputation unfortunately precedes me.

Exactemundo! The rules of the game has changed, but most women has yet not gotten with the program.

He knew you'd pay it. Probably realized what a loser he was when he met you and thought he'd make it just as miserable for you as it was for him to realize how sub par he was.

I think that the good olde boy needs some lessons in ... well in just about everything, You are right in being angry but wrong in paying the bill. It was his idea to grab the pizza, his plan his dime!! Good luck next time. I was on this site for a little while and met some people to find that it did not work out, some wanted to dive right into , well ... I was not ready for that level of involvement on the second date...... one more time , I guess

Jelica,
Don't take that one incident and paint the rest of male kind with the same stroke. That was a bit of " past baggage" that you were exposed to... not fair to u dear.
I hope the pizza was good!! The forum has not been erased because I assume it is good for a person to express thier opinion. When I have "dated" a person on here, I do not give them the bill , but most independent woman feel obliged to be fair about it. I find that progressive.

I agree with rob1001 it is basically a game of numbers. If you go on seven dates probably two or three will be poor quality, two or three average, and only one or two high quality. Don't let one inexpensive date turn you away from dating; go on several more dates until you find a quality guy. And dating is meant to be fun laugh at your experiences:)
