| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/8/2007 4:33:51 PM | An ex of mine broke up with me via email. It was insulting.
However, it was a bit funny since she mentioned several problems she had with me, 99% of which she hadn't told me about. The irony? Communication was one of them

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/8/2007 9:01:06 PM | Yep, has happened here.
Had been dating off and on for a year or so. Got the email to break up because he had his class reunion coming up and thought he could hook-up with some old classmates that he used to have crushes on.
Guess I should be thankful that he was moral enough to break up before cheating.
Funny tho, since nothing came of the reunion, he tried to come back. While laughing, I said NO.

I broke up with my ex girl friend in a park and she slapped me. I think it would of been better if I emailed her and told her

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/9/2007 11:52:59 AM | Yup - earlier this year. I got the dreaded "Let's just be friends" via email. This was on the same day the Habs got booted from the playoff chase losing to the Leafs on the final day of the NHL season. Not one of my better days, so it ended with much of this: | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/9/2007 3:20:19 PM | I have been dumped this way twice....it is VERY rude and cowardly, I think.
One particular situation comes to mind. I had been dating this guy for over a year, and in our discussions, he had made mention that he was not ready to consider ever getting married again. That was fine with me, as I was not sure I was ready to consider marriage again myself. Anyway, approximately a yr into our relationship, my father passed away and I could not reach my, then boyfriend. I had tried, repeatedly, through phone calls, email and text messages for a couple days. Then 2 days after my father passed away, I received an email from my "boyfriend" telling me that he was living with and getting married to another woman. Not only was this poor timing, it was also in very poor taste. (his marriage lasted maybe 10 months, and he came back, scratching at my door, but this is another story lol)
I think, anyone who chooses to breakup through email, or text messages, is a coward.

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/9/2007 3:33:48 PM | | Yep! I called her before I checked my emails and she said for me to stop harassing her! I was stumped until I checked my mail that night. What a rude awakening! | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/9/2007 3:54:15 PM | | I havent, but I think thats such the wrong way to break up with someone no matter how well or bad it may be going between one another. In person or at least over the phone is much more personal and better way to go on this issue. Just my take of course. | |

I hear the latest method of break-up for the younger set is text message. UGH!

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/9/2007 7:29:00 PM | | Yes. It won't bother me again the future because a person not courageous enough to act face-to-face clearly is not meant for me. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/10/2007 4:42:16 AM | Not a nice way of doing it, but when they have there mobile glued to there ears and fingers 24-7 even when with you, then dumping them by text is the only way...

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/12/2007 5:29:59 PM | | And what if the person you are breaking up with is crazy a nutcase and you don't trust how they are going to act in a face to face breakup. I don't think its the right way but seeing how irrational someone can get from being dumped I'm not going to knock someone for not doing it face to face. But of course if you know the person is indeed sane and can handle it then by all means it should be done face to face. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/12/2007 5:33:56 PM | | I have. it was really lame too. he just kept on saying the same thing over and over again but writting it in different ways. in a way i was laughing at the email more than i was crying about being dumped. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/12/2007 5:37:54 PM | I was by my husband after 11 years!! That is also how I found out he cheated on me, sent an email to my work!!!
I think it's totally awful, but it just showed me how much of a coward and how immature he was. Thing is I'm not even the type of person to fly off the handle about things.....lol. Oh well, now I know.
|
| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/12/2007 5:44:38 PM | | I was dumped in a text message......I couldn't believe it... !! After I got over the shock of his lack of class I realized it was for the better...after all who wants to be with someone that has that little regard and respect for you? | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 9/12/2007 5:46:57 PM | He not only dumped me over e-mail, but he had to tell me about his new "love" that just came out of the "Blue." Right.. My guess E-Harmony. I didn't respond to his e-mails so he now thinks he's Dr. Phil & wants to give me advice. O.K. so I finally reply & told him off as only a lady can. ( Who needs a guy who squats when he pee's & had to wipe his ass w/a baby wipe when he "poo's". ) Of course I should of said that, but didn't. Give me a break. I'll stay single if that's what's out there. And by the way guy's, there are a lot of real men out there. You just have to get over your hang ups & get on with life. Do you really want to be single forever. Relationships take "Work." | |
