| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 12/16/2006 6:34:05 PM | | Yes, it's happened to me right on on POF. I had three dates and then she informed me curtly via a text message that she didn't want to meet me again. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 12/16/2006 8:54:45 PM | Yes, after dating someone for 9 years. We had been engaged before. We got into a huge (the last fight) on the phone)--I wanted him to come over and talk it out. Then I said it on the phone, "We're over." And he sent me an email and fussed me out. Then he moved in with another lady and gave her a diamond. Yeah, really sucked! --But now, hey the world is my oyster. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 2/20/2007 5:03:21 AM | | I was dumped from a 14 yr marriage(with two babies) by an e-mail! He is a truck driver and after a VERY good weekend, he left to go out on the road. Only i didnt hear from like I usually did. For a week. Finally I get email from his truck. He met someone and wanted a DIVORCE! he met her a truck stop in missourri. What a love story--- and such class! It isnt funny really, but I have to laugh at his cowardice. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 2/20/2007 5:09:12 AM | I have, but I have to say...I'd rather be dumped via email than having someone just disappear and not say a word.
The penguin makes me sad :(
yikes redhead...thats awful...but good for you, he doesnt deserve you anyway.

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 2/20/2007 5:26:49 AM | | Yes just recently by a gutless wonder. Sometimes our feelings change over time and that is okay however breaking up with someone that you have been dating should be done face to face. There's nothing wrong with printing an email for yourself ahead of time if words fail you to read to the person when you see him or her. If you have lost feelings for someone, let go of them in a loving way since he or she will be in shock and won't have any time to process. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 2/20/2007 5:34:32 AM | | I got dumped Via e-mail about a month and a half ago. One day we're talking about moving in together the next it's a break up over e-mail. What the hell?!?! Even her friends and family called me after and said they had no idea what she was thinking. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 2/20/2007 5:46:24 AM | E-mail? Hah!
Only the 100% genuine dater like me gets dumped in true inconsiderate and impersonal style - by TEXT. Got my fourth one last week (been doing the dating thing for 4 years now) and now I just laugh and show the offending message to everyone at work.
Dating is now far too easy. It is like browsing for a second hand BMW and if the blue one that you liked has a couple of knocks on it you didn't spot originally, you can always go for the red one with less miles on the clock.
Dating? I f***ing hate it. . . . . . . .

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/8/2007 9:40:27 AM | | Well I don't think it's that bad! Not if you are half expecting it because things are getting a tad rocky anyway. With the last guy I went out with, it was kind of mutual - a reciprocal dumping. I couldn't have handled an in person thing anyway- as he was prone to bursting into tears. But if you have been dating a long time and things seem to be going well, it's unfair and cowardly. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/8/2007 4:25:20 PM | Yep, gotta love it..........
E-mail, voice mail and a text to my cell phone Man, after that, a handwritten "Dear Jane" letter might have been easier to swallow.

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/9/2007 5:56:54 PM | Well, can't say I was dumped per se since we weren't technically "dating" but the communication was tepid at best and when I emailed asking where we stood, he didn't like it, said I asked "too many questions".
I'd IM him (since phoning him was too awkward after the emails) and he'd respond but he never IM'd me and it felt weird; then I tried to get him to talk about it; he said he was pissed about the emails and when I asked, "what now?" he got mad and said I couldn't let things flow naturally, etc. and went offline then blocked/deleted me, just like that! No "sorry, this isn't working..." or "Okay I can't handle this and we need to end it now".
I beat myself up for it, taking on ALL the blame, but the way he responded sucked A$$ and I'm not taking any responsibility for his cowardice!

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/10/2007 5:34:49 PM | Got it via text message one day at work...2 hours before we were to meet for our usual weekend together. It said thus "My dear, you have violated my principles, therefore I never wish to see you again...yada yada yada"
3 mos later, after I spent those months in Bob rehab on rum and country music, I got an email from said ass.. New Years Eve no less...went like this: My Dear, I realize I misunderstood what you were trying to say and would like to get back together with you. I AM CURRENTLY SEEING SOMEONE ELSE FOR THE MOMENT BUT IF IT DOESNT WORK OUT I WILL BE TOUCH"
Talk about someone who lives behind the screen!!! Geesh

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/10/2007 5:43:28 PM | Never been dumped by email but have been by 'dear john' letters.
Best dumping by far if there is such a thing..is a CIA/FBI/NSA agent showing up at your door with a Cease and Desist Order....was either that or go to Leavenworth for Conduct Unbecoming.......
Tough call there
TRUE STORY! ask me sometime!

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/10/2007 6:03:42 PM | | I've done both! I tried to call this girl for about a week... She never picked up, so I said I was through with her... I felt like she had me dangling by a thread... I'm not going to stalk her out and create a scene, so my a$$ would look crazy and get locked up! I felt it was over... But you better believe I got a phone call about 10 minutes after I left that message... Ha ha ha... She didn't read the email until later that night... It would have all been avoided if she would have picked up the phone. | |

| Has anyone ever been dumped via email? Posted: 3/10/2007 6:16:21 PM | I did dump a guy via email...after I received 3 emails telling me about all the things I could change about my self...sigh...
Then, I was dumped via text message by another guy, and that was one hour or so after he dropped me off at home. kissed me goodbye and such...I was too happy for him
Oh well...guess what goes around right? lol
