| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 6/10/2009 9:38:18 PM | I ride my bike for the wheelchair participants at marathons. It is amazing to watch people work to complete these.... You don't always get to ride the route, sometimes you have to go way out of your way to meet them to check on them every few miles. The last one I rode over 5 hours total, 39 degrees and I wore capris... shiver shiver
Guys...if you haven't run more than a few miles ever... before attempting much more, put bandaids on your nips... by halfway through a marathon there are so many men with blood stains there from the constant friction. Being that chicks wear sports bras they don't have the loose fabric constantly rubbing. Even the edges of the shorts become a problem.... I won't even get into foot preparations... | |

Posted: 6/12/2009 12:50:45 PM | This Saturday morning, June 13th, some of us are planning on Walking or Running in the Komen Race for the cure benefiting breast cancer research.We'll be meeting at the south west corner of 14th and market near the Savvis center at 730 am. The Runner line up is separate from the walker line up.
I think the challenge is to finish this walking and/or running in under an hour! | |

Skip, Kelli and I got a bit of a work out just getting from parking and trying to meet up! (I metro linked) Kelli & Skip seemed to be no worse for the wear at their party that night! I was a bit drained from swimming and a bit too much sun afterward. Tonight just a light work out to loosen up. | |

My daughter lacerated my cornea @ the tender age of 11 months. Those little nails are like razor blades, so I guess I'll just call it "amateur RK". No scarring or loss of vision, my "little angel" would never hurt someone intentionally.
'course she's 25 now, and doesn't like being called "little angel" any more. Come to think of it, her actual pet name was "Demon-child from He//" so who am I kidding?
She still likes that one, though. | |

We will have to find a great poster to put in front of Bay's dreadmill, or put a video in front to make it look like he is chasing Bo Derek from the movie 10 on the beach! 
I haven't given up on my fitness challenge even though I have been busy. Yesterday I spent the day in a pool, mostly alone, using water resistance for strength training and then a little floating for relaxation and a mental boost! | |

Posted: 6/22/2009 9:22:27 PM | walked all over Six Flags on Sunday in the hot summer sun, got a little sun on shoulders, face; wore my ankle out LOL, musta been the cruddy shoes I wore for Hurricane Harbor/sand/water wear and tidal wave, thunder river, all that water in order to survive out there! Can't tell ya how far /long we walked but we had fun for sure; it has to cool down before I start walking outside again, way too warm to push it, ugh!!
I don't do the treadmills, something about the walkway moving under me would definitely throw me off kilter, no thanks LOL | |
