| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/1/2009 8:36:17 PM | I have my standards, you wouldn't want me to compromise the few i have would you???
I look at it this way, according to POF, you get more hits with a photo than without, so by limiting who can email me, i'm forcing whoever feels the need to verbally abuse me in email to post a pic just so they can vent... which means of course, more guys will hit on you and then you'll be forced to select one from all them guys just to get the others to leave you alone... this (if it works out) should get me some kind of compensation for being the one that forced the original photo to be posted on the profile and them ending up in a blissfull relationship. And if this works as expected, i should be able to retire again in about 1000 years!
See? there really are methods to my madddddness
Oh almost forgot in all that babble, thanks for the compliment!!!!

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/7/2009 3:44:18 PM | Good workout today. How is everyone doing BTW for the summer?
Front Squat thrusts 21-18-15 etc, fatigued out at 98 lbs., with in between full sit-ups.
Looking for recipe for my salmon as in the way of a sauce to prepare with it.
Thanks Jai | |

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/7/2009 3:54:39 PM | Olive oil and citrus juice with dry dill or another fave spice you like with salmon. Tarragon or rosemary perhaps?
No extra saturated fat, kicks up the omega-3 another notch or six.
|
| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/7/2009 10:58:23 PM | I like the olive oil... but I love blackened seasoning on salmon!
My brother fixes it skin side down, seasoning on the upside... lay it in the olive oil heated in a cast iron skillet on the grill! Don't have to turn it! The skin comes right off when it is done...
I haven't been to the gym much with the outdoors giving so much more open space with the weather! I think I have the best tan...only tan! I have ever had! Staying with at my brothers for a full week really gave me a work out!
|
| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/8/2009 5:20:43 AM | Ok guys, any kind of Olive Oil and Shelia are u at least working out outside? But I know what u mean, I swim and kayak alot right now, and my tan is darker than last year. Woohoo.
Jai
I have 2 more workouts before my elbow surgery tomorrow, so I have to bring it big time. Yikes

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/8/2009 8:53:51 AM | Pretty much when you cook it, any of the olive oils will do. But when you use it straight from the bottle such as with breads or dressings... you want the extra virgin, better flavor. I get mine at Aldi unless one of the other stores has a good sale. I don't even by veg oil anymore, I get their canola. If you don't have a store nearby, stock up on those things so you won't need to think about it!
I am still having trouble walking with my foot injuries! But with the renovation and having to basically move everything in my brother's house last week, I did plenty of strenght training. I try to walk inspite of the pain, and stretch a lot more than normal because I have to use different muscles...

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/8/2009 9:09:23 AM | | Will you be grilling the salmon or baking it? I make a simple marinade of Chardonay, garlic, green onion, sea salt, cracked black pepper, and red pepper flakes.... Grill with a slice of lemon on it skin side down, using gourmet blend of soaked wood chips, remove lemon and turn, only turn once, garnish with fresh lemon before serving and let rest 5 minutes. Adjust or add seasonings to your taste. | |

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/17/2009 4:06:41 PM | Yea I am back. Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Stitches out this am and hit the lake and kayaked for 2 hours. OMG, the cross winds, motor boats and white caps were so challenging. Blistered on my hands for sure, but ever so grateful.

Well, I still have a hard time walking more than I have to, and I seem to have an issue with my back... but still got the bike out Wednesday out and did some PM work on it while riding. Adj brakes, set up @ calibrate speedometer etc. Talk about humidity that night! OMG... I was almost afraid to stop, every time I stopped to make adjustments I had water running off of me! But, my legs feel great. Had a bad day yesterday and swam in friendly Bob's pool for just over an hour...

Foolish me keeps trying to help out those that can't and gets hurt doing so. It hurts to lay down so I am currently waiting for the medicine to help make my back quit spasming on me! | Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/21/2009 12:29:08 PM | Shelia, Back injuries r the worst, take care of that. Had off today, so did one heck of a crossfit workout. 20 rounds of turkish sit ups with a 15# kettleball x2-4 wall push-ups and 8 swings w/ 25# kettleball. Than 30 minutes of cardio-so now i can down the aspirin.

| Fitness challenge.... Posted: 7/21/2009 12:32:38 PM | Doc said break in the toe was a clean break, not a fracture, and has just now started to heal, so no running yet, 4 more weeks... it has been 6 already! It just hurts like crazy most of the time.
Back improved a lot just the last 24 hours. No spasms and I lightened up on the ibuprofen today.
