1- Bring in Mike Shanahan & offer Wade the Defensive Coor. position . If he isn't game then let him go. We need to let Garrett & his 3 milliona year go to the Loins if they will take him. You need a coach that will stand up to Jerry Jones. If Jerry keeps up his meddling ways we will become the Raiders of the NFC.
With all the injuries the Broncos had they were competitive in almost every game they played this year till the final snap. You certainly didn't see that never quit attitude on the Cowboys sideline.
2- We need ALOT of Barber, Choice & Felix Jones. That will open up our passing game especially with the zone blocking scheme that Shanahan will install.
3- Get rid of TO. We definitely couldnt trade him because there isn't a GM in the league that want that cancer.
4- Get some dependable, younger O Linemen. In Shanahans scheme we have seen 6 running backs succeed behind an above average O-Line this year. One gets hurt they plug in another.
5- Both of our safety positions are weak. Having to move corners to safety when an injury occured was definitely the weak point of our defense.
6- If Romo can't mature & make better decisions with the ball then after the 09 season he needs to be gone. Troy Aikman didn't put up the huge numbers like Romo has but he was a master at ball control. I am just not certain Romo is the guy to lead the Cowboys to the promise land. | |

We need ALOT of Barber, Choice & Felix Jones. YES YES YES and we need them un-injured and healthy!
If Romo can't mature & make better decisions with the ball He needs a coach that has some balls and some experience dealing with young quarterbacks! I used to have such high hopes for Romo but recently he's given us nothing to be hopeful about. It was on the news last night that Romo tried to kill himself with a gun, but the bullet was intercepted. :)~
We also need Witten healthy and playing like he can!! | |

WOW that is terrible. Wonder if he had a license to have a gun? Wonder what Jessica thinks of him now? Wonder if his Mayor is going to throw the book at him as Bloomberg will do to Plaxico. Whats that mean intercepted? Guess I will look into the whole story. | |

Hire someone who can offer some leadership like Bill Cowher or Mike Holmgren. Coincidentally they're both available.
This season has been a painful reminder of what Barry Switzer did to Jimmy's team in the 90's. | |

1. First move Buy Jerry Jones OUT ...... No Decent coach will work under his big nose.
2. New Owner finds the best possible manager and college scout.
3. Hire a head coach who have been succesfull
Pete Carol / Urban Meyer / Bob Stoops............... possible choices from college.
4.Keep Wade Philips and Jason Garret as cordinators then clean the slate! Garret had one of the best offences in 2007.
5.Get rid of TO and Pacman Jones and TRADE....... Marion Barber and Martellus Bennet for 1st and 3rd round draft choices 2009. Marion Barber wont last with his style of running and Martellus Bennet is trouble and he wont be a 1st string player when we have JASON Witten anyways we have too many TE's. with an upside already.
6.2009 draft there should be a post regarding the 2009 Mock Draft here very soon.
7.OFFENCE ..Put in a balanced attack with plenty of play action, alternating Choice and Jones
8. TEAM NEEDS................ 1.SS, 2.WR 5'11"+ with speed and good hands , 3.G with masssive size and good foot work 4.S with good speed. 5. RB/FB for short yardage. 6.7. More Offensive line for depth | |

Deeds I'm not sure that I agree with you about Barber not lasting with his running style. Can you give me a convincing argument? I think he's got a passion for the game and he's a physical running back. What is it about his style of running that you think makes him not viable? | |

Posted: 1/1/2009 7:23:16 PM | Deb as much as I like Barber he takes too many solid hits to last in the NFL hes a great closer but hes barely a 25 carry running back as it is so his body is going to get beat up and fast if he keeps running with the agression he does.
I like the combination of Tashard Choice and Felix Jones better Choice is a little quicker than Barber and has a little more deceptiveness Felix will be the game breaker either on the run or the pass and Choice could take over Barbers position quite easily although he wont be a closer.
Marion Barber has'nt got the size to be taking and giving the hits he does in my opionon he wont last very long. | |

I'm a Barber fan  I will agree with you about Choice though in that he is a bit quicker and a little more deceptive BUTTTT he doesn't have size on his side either and once the opponent's defense understand what a threat he is he'll be taking some pretty decent hits too. | |
