Barber has experience on his side and although he was injured it was his pinkie toe that kept him out of the game. He's got a few good years of hard hits before he is no longer viable. Barber ISN'T an elite RB. I don't understand the hype around this guy. He had a pedestrian season this year. What can the man do? Just hit the defender hard? Mmmk, ok. Do that for the entire game? Please. Jones showed more promise in my opinion.

Improved defense.
Formed a solid line.
Got close to being in the playoffs if it wasn't for the Cardinals loss in the last 3 seconds.
OH, and won games in December.

Your team DID show up in Philly.
Owens being inconstant and dropping passes? CHECK.
Romo chocking and throwing ints and fumbling? CHECK.
Newman getting burned and making stupid mistakes? CHECK.
Overhyped O-line giving up key sacks? CHECK.
Ware disappearing when it most counted? CHECK.
Roy Williams, who sucked even in Detroit, being just a decoy? CHECK.
Drama? CHECK.
I can go on forever. Your team DID show up. I won't forget this years loss though, I must admit it was bad. But, I blame it solely on our D-Cord for playing Owens loose instead of pushing him around at the line. I highly doubt we make that mistake again. Think about it, we SHOULD HAVE scored two TDs to go up by 14. But nope, Martz couldn't find a damn play to get it in the endzone. Owens WAS your offense that day.
Oh well. I think the Niners future is looking much much much brighter than the Dallas Cowgals. | |

What pieces does a team need to win the SB? I don't think you have learned the lesson taught this year. Individual talent means NOTHING over team talent. Nobody thought the Giants had "the pieces" to win it all. Yet, they did.
Your team doesn't just need a "new coach" It needs a new attitude. And that starts from the top. How about a QB that doesn't fluke out? A safety? A CB? A DL that doesn't give up huge runs? How about a OC? or a ST? or a solid back up QB? A WR, after this season, Owens is on the decline? | |

They needed a lot more than that to happened 40 whiners finished 7-9 a losing record.
OH, and won games in December.
Don't matter if you win games in December.....You lose 6 games in a row in September/October your season ends early

And my Patriots beat your Niners by a 7th round QB who hasn't started since high school. It was yours for the taking and you could not take advantage. Karma? This season, eventhough we did not make it to the playoffs, really showed what "expectations" will occur next season. The Pats had a great season. | |

A dynasty they are. They earned all the bad luck they have been given and then some. Running up the score? Recording other teams? Being arrogant toward other coaches?
