I'm sorry you had that bad experience with a seemingly incompetent venepuncturist.
However, if you did get up the courage to go again, and you explained, they would make sure you got the best there was on the shift and not a learner.
Some people's veins are easier to find than others. Everyone has to learn, and even if you've done it well before, I guess everyone can suffer nerves if they're new to it, but your experience is by far one of the minority. Blood Service venepuncturists get a lot more practice than many in hospitals so they're usually very good. | |
