Call them underwear, underthings, underoos for all I care...but not "panties". ugh! Am I the "only" person that feels that way about that word? There must be more out there.....anti-panty people??
Hmmm? ~ I call them "next" to the thing I love best!

| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 7:05:10 AM | I actually dated a guy once that loved hearing the word "panties". If the OP claims that "panties" are for little girls, does that make him a closet pedophile??? Let's get real here, when you go into a sexy lingerie store like La Vie En Rose, or La Senza, they do NOT call the lacy "PANTIES" - BRIEFS, or GOTCH.. they call them "PANTIES" The following list of words referenced from the THESAURUS on PANTIE and this is my take on them; bikini - Is something I wore to the beach before I got married and fatly complacent. briefs - Is what old men wear...my husband wears Boxers intimate things - I keep in a little "tickle trunk" out of the prying eyes of children lingerie - That too is from yonder days - I am married after all underclothes - Is longjohn material and worn at all times in these frosty climes undergarment - See above underpants - I think of men's underwear when I hear underpants.. *shrug* undies - Is what I called my son's "UNMENTIONABLES" when he was a little boy..
A List of other words referencing PANTIES: As mentioned above - Unmentionables, Gitch, Bloomers, Ball-huggers, Clitty-litter catchers, etc... I could go on and on.... however, PANTIES it is...

| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 7:42:49 AM | Can't resist to share my point of view. Just want to know if "brassiere/bra is no longer used in America or other countries. As far as I know the terms undergarments, undies, underwear, underthings, underoos of women refer to bra and panties. Therefore those terms are common and if anybody specifically means the lower underthings, then it's "panties." Am I correct in some ways? | |
| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 8:03:59 AM | Panties.... Like wet panties!!!! Can't imagine saying wet underroos. | |
| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 8:52:23 AM | | Call them what you want, they sure feel sexy when you wear them | |
| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 10:15:34 AM | I personally refer to my daughter's undies as either underpants or undies.... I have never referred to hers as panties. So panties win for mine, when I actually wear them. | |
| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 10:41:52 AM | hmmm.. I don't understand the phobic aversion to saying " panties".. better than saying bloomers/underpants/underthings/unmentionables... "lacey panties" .. doesn't make many people shudder..lol | |

| Panties Posted: 1/6/2009 12:41:17 PM | | Each to his own I suppose but the word makes me giggle everytime I hear it. | |
| Panties Posted: 1/7/2009 11:04:57 AM | The name of what keeps me warm and hugs me from dawn to dusk doesn't really bother me. And if my s/o referred to it as "panties" I can bet you OP that last thing on his (just like my) mind would be to tinker about its name | |
| Panties Posted: 1/7/2009 11:30:19 AM | i also like that word and use it a lot instead of the other words listed above, it's kind of sexy to me
i guess it depends | |
| Panties Posted: 1/7/2009 11:42:56 AM | | I like the word alot..something about it. Same thing with pu55y | |
| Panties Posted: 1/8/2009 6:19:34 PM | You see, now I prefer the word "panties" over "underwear" and stuff. To me, 'panties' is way more feminin, sexual, playful etc...makes me envision something slinky, lacey, and dirty.
Maybe you arent pronouncing them right. Try putting more emphasis on the "pant" and less on the "tease"....

| Panties Posted: 1/28/2009 8:29:46 PM | one question why is the word bra singular, while the word panties plural? i think the name fits great -the mear word panties paints a naughty picture of a delightful skimpy little thing that keeps a woman from being completely naked. -how about calling it a kitty cover | |
| Panties Posted: 1/28/2009 8:37:14 PM | | I call them undies or underwear. I have never liked the word "panties". The way my mother says it is so odd; she puts such stress on the T that it sounds relatively creepy. "Pan...Teeeees". | |
| Panties Posted: 1/28/2009 9:19:35 PM | | I just realized I have five tabs up on my Firefox. So this tab is just big enough to read "Panties Free Dating." | |
| Panties Posted: 1/28/2009 9:33:55 PM | Come on people...

The op is a she, not a he. Sorry, just had to point that out.
OT I don't care what anyone calls their panties, knickers, whatever. To each their own.
| Panties Posted: 2/1/2009 1:19:53 PM | | I personally like panties, it sounds sexy, and feminine. Underoos, underwear both sound dumb. You can't say skimpy underoos lol, you say skimpy panties. | |
| Panties Posted: 2/1/2009 1:30:39 PM | I have no problem calling them panties, knicker, and can I take those off. As long as I can get into them I am happy. | |
