matter where they came from 3rd..4rth..5th world or from other planets..people leaves u

If they come from a 3rd world nation, and they're not among the handful of rich people living in that nation, you bet they have the same intentions: getting a green card.
I'm not saying it has never, ever, ever happened that a person that wants a green card has fallen in love. Sure it can happen. I'm sure it has! Life isn't so cut and dried. But 3rd world nations have men and women in them, and CUTE ones! And SMART ones! And marriageable ones! Why would someone be seeking a person to marry outside of their country? Green card, plain and simple. I live in the green card-seeking capital of the world (I think), Miami. For us, the term, "green card" is spoken in every other sentence. It's a fact of life here. We know too well what things people are capable of doing for that green card and it ain't pretty. | |

personally i would never marry canadian woman.
if it comes to foreign ones, always have to use common sense and be a good psychologist
what a weird thing to say... especially since you live in our country.. what is up with that?
OT: my brother married a filipina woman, and he is perfectly happy and they have two daughters. she did not dump him as soon as she got settled here. neither did her aunt who also came to this country by way of marrying a canadian man. at first, i'll admit, i had my reservations about this union he was choosing, she was here on a 1 year work visa to be a nanny. but they've been together for 9 years now i think it is, or darn close to that, so hey... whatever blows your dress/kilt up, i say. | |

as of yesterday, in 3 short months, i've had 71 proposals from men [3 or 4 claiming to be from the US, however... i have my doubts about that, one said he was a Canada American who is a navy seal, stationed in Iowa Baltimore, Maryland... uh ya, right okie dokie then bud] from Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, Malaysia, Turkey, Bhutan, Pakistan, India, Rawanda, South Africa.... not to mention the few Princes who are exiled to Senegal due to the rebel uprisings in their country [this is about when i start hearing the star wars sound track  ]...
so ya, it is not just the guys on dating sites that are contending with this issue. the day is young, wonder if any more will arrive in my inbox this weekend ....  | |

I think this is only true for domestic females 18-35 . Domestic females in their reproductive years have no trouble finding mates even when they are ugly because their is always a shortage of breeding females, so they have no reason to go overseas. Older females and males who are not alpha males will find better quality mates by going overseas because they have an economic advantage. | |

I get the feeling she was planning this, and could have broken up with me while I was still in her country, but no, she waited until I left. There was very little communication after her Dear-John letters and I will never know whether this was all a scam or she really did love me. I do know that she soon got into N. America, met a man of her own race and married him, thus getting an automatic green card, I think.
She was the dearest, sweetest person I ever met and had the best English language I ever heard while in that country. When you are in love with someone you want to believe that what they are showing you is the real thing--love. | |

funny, usually it takes year or two for a girl to switch to "canadian mode".

this is typical point of view of someone who was born and raised in north america.
here girls becamne pretty shallow creatures, not hiding their materialism and egoism.
its mainly because im morth america its rather difficult to live for someone who starts their live.
parents customary dont help their children and everybody has to work for they want to have. having such a pressure from their late teenage years people dont focus much on "ideas" but work and buy as media teach them.
girls use their looks and sex to get a good deal, materially.
for someone from outside its overwhelming.
in europe girls have same approach to relationships like guys.
they like sex, they like to feel feminine, their interest in relationship is more about emotions, trust and respect.
in north america its more like a war of sexes, everybody is so "individual" usually thinks what can get out of relationship, how can use other person (goes both ways) instead of
having it balanced.
in europe girls and guys are more equal, paradoxally.
here girl claim that they want equality but it ends that they start to behave like guys,
which is rather distastfull.
when i look at the pics of girls on plenty its amazing how many place photos of their asses, boobs, totoos or piercings in tongues. superficiality, it seems that these things make a man (girl) in mentality here.
look at any european site like that. there is gonna be 10 times less pictures of this kind, girls gonna rather talk about what movies or books they like, basically about much deeper stuff.
to raginganarchy, girls in europe, those ugly ones have problems with finding boyfriends
because those good looking ones are NORMAL and pretty APPROACHABLE.
i guess its only north america where any girl can get laid whenever she wants, lol,
doesnt matter how she looks.
in europe man are much more selective and less paranoid about getting laid. (it is just easier to get it there i guess).

Posted: 6/27/2005 1:07:39 AM | wow this thread is hard to follow. to meekrob if she was after a greencard there is no way she would have blown three years of hard work and ended things before she got the green card. unless she thought she was never going to see you again anyways. i also agree with sarita you'd be surprised what people will do to get into this country. listen to us third worlders on this one. people will save up money for three years to pay someone to drop them off in the desert only 35 ft. over the border. they have no food no water no money because they just spent it all to get in. so they have to risk starvation, dehydration, and being caught by border patrol just to come mop floors here. what you have to realize is that the U.S. has such a high standard of living that everybody wants in.
what i don't understand is this bad mouthing american women. i know plenty of succesful beautiful women who are down to earth. it's not hard to approach them, a sincere smile and a simple hello goes a long way, oh and looking them in the EYE also helps. if you treat them like a piece of ass and a nice rack they are not going to respond. i agree with daisie if you think there is something wrong with the female sex of a certain culture there is something wrong with you. american women are some of the most successful, well educated, empowered, and independent women in the world. foriegn women tend to be submissive, hey maybe you guys like the idea of a submissive wife that does whatever you want, treats you like a king just cuz your a man. i personally want to earn my partner's respect, and have an equal partner, if i wanted a maid i would hire one. american women do have high standards but i think they have earned the right. | |
