Posted: 8/7/2005 6:26:46 AM | Some times I just have to shake my head. Last night was one of those times. There must have been 600 or more people that turned out to the party. Now thats a lot of people. I guess had we realized thered be that big a turn out we would have been better prepaired. I guess we fumbled the ball.
Some party goers whet to the wedding reseption that was taking place next door. Well you can imagen there surprise to see people coming in with beer coolers in hand looking for some singles to hit on. Easy to see how they might get a little ticked off.
Im sorry to as we had to turn people away that turned up from Toronto and other far off places. I hope if you were one of them and your reading this, Please understand we had no choice. We never wanted to have to do that. But the landowner made it very clear that we had to shut it down.
I know there will be a lot of sorry's in the forums for the next few days. You can bet we will have another party. How its going to pan out is for Sir James to decide. Im sure when he gets his life back to normal he'll say a few things about last night and upcoming events at his place.
So Im off to London this morning to help clean up and hoist a few more wobblie pops | |

Posted: 8/7/2005 7:18:54 AM | HI..everyone...had an awesome time. And NO...no one got hurt last night, thank goodness....I got to meet many many more pof'ers this time, and once again, all great ppl. It was a pleasure meeting all of you. And yes it is a shame that the party had to be shut down last night but, it was still an outstanding time to be had,   More ppl than were expected showed up, I hope everone of you made it home ok.
And for those of you who were ignorant after we were asked to disperse, , driving thru the field, going the wrong way, laying rubber when leaving..this is just simply childish. None of this was planned, it just happened. Sir James, you are kind enough to invite total strangers to your home, and they should have respected your wishes, and understood that this was indeed an unfortunate decision. And one that regretably, made some ppl very upset. But there are those that are just glad for the day and a half we did have, to have an unbelievable time.
Sir James....YOU SIR are a great person and a wonderful host, thank you personally for opening your home to all of us. 
Sam....YOU KNOW you are at the top of my list of sweet ppl and just an all around, wonderful person..
Miss Allison...YOU are a sweetheart...and a great co-host... 
I will be checking the forum all day to see what others post about the part bfn...   | |

I will say however, thanks to all who put time into planning this event. It really was way beyond the call of duty. Many of us walked the grounds and tidied up for James this AM.
Special mention to Sam. My goodness, I have no idea how she is still walking. She sure never got any rest.
Sir James, and Miss Allison.....Great party.
There are many others, from near and far who did so much as well.
You all know who you are, so no need to say thanks.
But here is my heartfelt 'THANKS' anyhow.  | |

Posted: 8/7/2005 7:51:07 AM | When I left syllie it was pretty well picked up. Working girl and I did all the way to the road along the field and so many others were cleaning up too. Bubbleicious got a whacking load of stuff in her bag. Candi did too.....and those girls were tired.......Daffy did so much she'll sleep for a week. Monty was the last one I hugged good-bye so he was still there when I left. Geez nobody left Sir James hanging. The guys were so good to cover the fields and grounds as well. I think everyone did all they could to help. I just cannot list all the friends that man has. Just super folks every-one of em.
By the way Synn came in last last night and he does look like his pics, only maybe younger. heheheeheee | |
