They had three back there and no one did nothing.

How many days till the next season?
How many days. I'll break it down for you. 7 months, or 29 weeks, or 210 days. That will be when the Dallas Cowboys start their Championship Hunt.

Is your vision that bad? Why don't you re-read msg 272.

hmmmm @ 38 seconds it sure looks like his other foot was touching the endzone and thats not even a HI DEF quality video image!
Keep demonstrating your lack of sight
Again, not the still photo, chump.
I'm at work so I'll post it for you later. Meanwhile, stop smoking crack.

| Super Bowl XLIII thread: Steelers vs. Cardinals Posted: 2/5/2009 3:02:35 PM | LOL, you have no idea when that still photo was taken now do you it could have been taken a split second right before or right after. That video @ 38 seconds is a freeze framed image that clearly shows exactly when his feet touched the endzone. No argument. Not only are you blind but you are also delusional.
Ok you do that I forgot that one pic image that you have is more accurate then the ref’s multimillion dollar replay equipment.

When both feet touched the ground Holmes did not have possession of the football, only when he had possession of the football the other foot was not down.

| Super Bowl XLIII thread: Steelers vs. Cardinals Posted: 2/5/2009 7:00:26 PM | Hey Steel...you know MGM is just saying anything to get a rise out of you. He does the same with JaC and Wiz.
That was a good catch. A catch that earned Holmes the MVP of the SB.
Summo...I can find pictures of JFK....right before he was shot. Do my pictures show that he is still alive? In the end, Holmes caught that pass fair and square.
|
| Super Bowl XLIII thread: Steelers vs. Cardinals Posted: 2/5/2009 7:05:43 PM | LOL, I know, but it's not working though, that's the funny part.
He is just upset because his team keeps on choking in Dec.
I got a pic for sumo right here. If he still wants to argue that it wasn't a catch after the video and now these pics then he must be using a Brail keyboard to use a computer.
http://www.steelersdepot.com/blog/2009/02/picture-of-santonio-holmes-with-2-two-feet-down-for-touchdown/
To add insult to injury. This is Sumo's argument but even the pic he saw that he claims his feet never touched is well explained from the link below.
http://www.scoresreport.com/2009/02/04/did-santonio-holmes-really-get-two-feet-down/
From the looks of that second picture, it appears to me that he stuck both feet into the ground and therefore it was a touchdown. The top picture (which some media publications are using to prove that Holmes didn’t get two feet in), was likely taken either before or after the second photo. In fact, if you look at the first and third photos, Holmes has a piece of the turf stuck in his shoe. In the second photo, the turf appears to be absent, which would indicate that the first and third photos were shot after the second photo and therefore Holmes got his right foot down.
Later I’ll be reopening the JFK case by looking at evidence photos, so make sure to stop back.
Game. Set. Match........

| Super Bowl XLIII thread: Steelers vs. Cardinals Posted: 2/6/2009 6:16:46 AM | | When it comes down to it the defensive coordinator lost that game for az. Yea the steelers made a bad call with that cover 2 deep zone fitz scored on but the only wr to be scared of is holmes and cromartie contained him the whole game. He is just as if not faster and taller than holmes. Ward and miller don't have the speed to really burn people though they do have great hands and great routes. That big play on that busted zone that thr safety fell on was a bad call should have ran a 2 man under or cover one but hey it was a great game az had it and holmes made the damn catch | |

| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/6/2009 7:13:28 AM | NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell ask the stealers if they would like to play the Cardinals in a super bowl rematch this sunday and they wanted no part of it. | |

| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/6/2009 1:18:45 PM | Can anybody in these sports forums say How Bout Them Cowboys!!!!
I can I can!!!
HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS~!
JAC I know you can do it too!! Keep saying I know I can I know I can and then you will.
How many days til football season now I'm having withdrawls!!
What do you think would happen if players are allowed to protest a ref's call in the field? Unrestrained disorder better known as pandemonium!!! Total chaos!! lol....
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/6/2009 3:11:13 PM | Ok so how can you comment on something you don't watch?
I'm bringing in some ex sports players? They work for the NFL now as annalist. You stated that anyone that works for the NFL doesn't go against the NFL. Not to mention I guess you didn't watch NFL live either this past Tuesday when Mark Schlereth and Shawn King both pointed out what they thought the refs made mistakes on in Super bowl XLIII.
Even coaches are afraid? Did Mike Holmgren ref rant after Super bowl XL come to mind? That's just one example out of many that coaches have spoken out against the refs.
Biased towards the Steelers? If that's what you think then you are entitled to your opinion, but the vast majority of those calls against AZ was a clear as day.
So you have to get violent with a ref to protest? That just sounds like an oxymoron statement. If you were right why would you have to strike a ref to get your point across? That would just show the rest of the world that you are A) totally unprofessional and B) Make you look like a total punk that has to resort to a 5 year old just because you didn’t like a call. Resorting to those tactics would not do you any good in terms of trying to convince everyone that you were right and the ref was wrong.
Players, coaches, and owners, can protest a refs call after the game, they can take their complaints to the league officals office. How do you think refs get picked for playoffs and Super bowls or even keep a job? it's based on yearly performance. If a bunch of players, coaches and owners are complaining about a ref, the head of the official committee will evaluate that refs officiating to see whether or not he is doing a good enough job to maintain his position.
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/6/2009 3:30:02 PM | The men in stripes have made mistakes every year since........... well since the NFL has been on TV. Face the facts the refs do not see every play as we do on the big screen. Mistakes happen. Of course the critics here, they are all perfect and never make mistakes will tell you that the NFL should get it correct. Don't like the game..move on! | |
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/7/2009 7:09:48 AM | | If the refs were truly biased in the Steelers' favor, how do you explain the holding call on first down on their final drive which made it 1st and 20 at their own 12 yardline? Yeah, it surely sounds like the refs were pushing for the Steelers to score... Even my Baltimore friends - Steeler haters all - said the same thing: When they saw how much time was left after the Cards went ahead, they all knew the Steelers had the ABILITY to score again. Not one of them complained about any bad calls in this game, and that really says something! | |
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/8/2009 6:56:19 AM | | The NFL admitted to blowing the Kurt Warner fumble at the end....you simply CANNOT let a Super Bowl end in that type of fashion without having a booth review from upstairs. | |
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/8/2009 7:10:31 AM | | You need to finish that thought. They agreed that it should have been reviewed; not that it was a bad call. Other than the gripers on this board, everyone else - um, in an OFFICIAL capacity - agreed that it was a fumble. | |
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/8/2009 7:34:17 AM | And you are clearly the final authority, what with your own taped version of the game from no doubt every possible angle of every play, the rest of us can sleep well, too. Try grilling next time, k? | |
