the entire length of the ball must cross the finishing line for a touchdown. Am I right? No. The nose of the football has to break the plane of the goal line. Balls are spotted at the spot of the ball when a knee hits the ground and not on JAC's chin as rumored in the past.

No Deb, I can't do it. It reminds me of Dorothy clicking her heels when she repeats she wants to go home several times. You know that reminds me of the weasel.

The NFL admitted to blowing the Kurt Warner fumble at the end....you simply CANNOT let a Super Bowl end in that type of fashion without having a booth review from upstairs.
Actually, if you read Peter King's columun online at Sports Illustrated, he goes into how much time they REALLY had up in the booth- more than you think. They did review it as the officials on the field were resetting for a Pittsburgh first down.

| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/9/2009 5:40:25 AM | Earthling, for the past 2 weeks leading up to the Super bowl all I saw in your post was "Stealers" comments. So it was like you were just waiting for something to happen in that game against the Steelers so that you could come on here and either blast the Steelers for losing or make excuses for why they won. Which is fine i really don't care but grow some and admit that you don't like the Steelers instead of trying to beat around the bush for the reaons why people don't have to hate a team to think they were bad calls as if people in here didn't realize this already.
The bigger question is WTH do you want the NFL do? Replace refs with robots? And then people will complain when the robots malfunction... Refs aren't perfect, they are going to miss calls every now and again. For the people that complain about the refs all the time, I would love for them to be a ref just for one day at the pro level and maybe they will truly understand how hard it is to catch every call.
In the good old days before replay was around or TV's people still went to games and complained about refs calls. All technology has done is made it so that everyone can see at home what the people see that go to the games.
Bens touchdown was not a touchdown and he missed by a foot? The call that was made was due to his knee being down which it wasn't at least not Indisputable enough to overturn it.
No Harrisons touchdown was indeed a touchdown, his knee landed on the Cards player coming down and not the ground.
The safety was a good call.
The roughing the passer on Ben wasn't a good call.
Warner's pass was a fumble. The ball was rolling back before his arm came foward. It was looked at by the booth and they determined there was no need to review it. But imo they should have for piece of mind. With that said it still would have been a fumble.

| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/9/2009 2:32:52 PM | This one was NOTHING! Super Bowl III was the biggest fix in the history of Professional Sports. The Jets couldn't have beaten the Colts once out of 100 games. That's why it was like pouring old salt in a fresh wound when that creep Joe Namath gave the Lombardi trophy to the Squealers.
The NFL wanted the Steelers to win. That thug Harrison should have been ejected. Nothing is ever what it seems in the NFL.
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was Fixed. Posted: 2/9/2009 5:21:33 PM | Give me a break. Anyone that thinks this was a fix is truly on something. What's next saying super bowl XLII was a fix too? Hell I guess the bills losing 4 straight Super bowls in a row was a fix as well. Why stop there. Heck even Green bay super bowl wins in the 60's was a fix because Lombardi has his name on the trophy.
What are you talking about? The colts overlooked the Jets because at that time the NFL took the AFL as a non threat, The NFL treated the AFL like an AAA football league prior to the jets winning Super bowl III. That’s why the Colts lost, because of their arrogant attitude going into that game. Besides just because you win at something 10 times in a row doesn't mean you will win the 11th time, if that was the case then everyone would be going to vegas forcasting their wins.

You're a funny guy. I can see you like pushing buttons. That was a good game, I think the Steelers were fortunate to win, the interception run back at the end of the first half was a 14 point turn around. That should have never happened.
But the catch Holmes made, was a catch... hard to tell if one foot was on top of the other, but no camera angles could dispute it. It was a great clutch catch. I was wanting Arizona, and I think their D that was playing great football, let them down in the end.
But the Game wasn't fixed.
People become delusional because of their own bias.

You thought wrong. Dallas Dominated pittsburgh and the stealers never lead.
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was a great game. Posted: 2/10/2009 8:10:51 PM | | Dominated? Well hell when you throw 3 INT's to the opposing team players when no one on your team was even remotely around to try to catch those passes, it was practically just giving the game to Dallas. Hell, I could have gone out there and caught those INT's and returned them for scores that's how bad O"Donnell played in the second half. O’Donnell beat the steelers by practically giving the game to Dallas In the seoncd half. | |

Yeah, I know you're here to stir it up...but I seem to remember a Pittsburgh defense dominating a Dallas offense in the 2nd half. Ask Troy Aikman how well he thought that 2nd half went for him.
I believe Larry Brown ran inception #1 back into the endzone for a TD. Nevertheless, it was 23-20 Dallas in the 4th and Pittsburgh was driving. They were in Dallas territory. On the play that O'Donnell threw interception #2, Ernie Holmes was wide open for an easy TD.
For the sake of argument, let's say Ernie scores that TD. It would have been 27-23 Pittsburgh with about (I'm guesing) 6 minutes left. Sure, Dallas COULD have scored a TD again, but the Pittsburgh D had them stymied that 2nd half. I bet if that were the case, Dallas doesn't score again.
Of course, if "ifs" and "buts" were beer and nuts, what a great time we would we have. Larry Brown did intercept those 2 passes- but every real fan knows that Dallas did not "dominate" the game.
|
| Super Bowl XLIII Was a great game. Posted: 2/10/2009 10:47:54 PM | Funny part is Larry Brown was named MVP because of those two easy INT's and then you never heard from him again as if he walked off the face of the earth. | |

Either way your still a Loser and its clear to see that the Patriots lost in SB XLII, Patriots make the playoffs? Duh NO! So they are losers, Patriots win their division? Duh NO! So they are losing their status in the AFC east
Cheer up pal! I know you don't care about anything else but next year's football season. I know how embarrassing it is to trust in Belicheat and lose again. Four seasons in a row now with no SB win. Time surly goes by fast?

You have it all wrong Larry Brown did intercept a pass but he did not run it back. You say it was 23-20 Dallas in the 4th Well your wrong again pittsburgh only scored 17 Pittsburgh never lead the whole entire game!
