But how beautiful the women have to be? Is this phobia restricted to men only?
Chrometophobia - Fear of money.
But the Fear of no money is not even on the list, should we add this on ?

| Different phobias Posted: 1/20/2009 10:51:07 PM | | Emetophobia - Fear of Vomit and/or vomiting. I fear both as I obviously didn't go to parties much as a teen or drank much because of that. I've spent my teens and early twenties underweight since I didn't like feeling too full or trying new things. | |

It's a relief to know I can put a clinical tag on this.
Once I learn to pronounce it, I'll be set!

Yeah unfortunately it's taken me a while to learn that lesson. :-( So.. how do you handle stomach flu then??
If I get the flu, I make sure someone is here at all times with me in case I start choking or can't breath. If someone cant' be here, I'll go to my parent's house!! No way in hell i'm puking and have to wait for someone to find my dead body a week later!!

| Different phobias Posted: 1/24/2009 4:15:15 PM | Air fresheners. I freaking hate those things. I've developed more chemical sensitivities over the years due to my asthma, and I get anxious when a girl at work brings something new in, that I know is going to get to my lungs eventually. (and then I have to ask my boss to ask them to take it home) I really, really hate air fresheners or anything else that can irritate my lungs (like strong cleaning chemicals, smoke, etc). I avoid that stuff like the plague if I can. I'm not really "paranoid" about them. I just feel anxious around them if my lungs start to get irritated.
The only true phobia I seemed to have trouble with a few years ago, was I was absolutely terrified about identity theft. I'm not as paranoid about it as I used to be, but a few years ago, I was very obsessive about it. Now that it's so common (unfortunately) it's not as big a deal to me. I still worry about it, but not as much as I used to.

Pouring a bowl of cereal, to find the carton of milk in the fridge is empty! Woooooo. I lay awake at night, shivering in my own sweat, consumed by the possibility of such horrible things! Hahaha. Worse.. spoonful of cereal/milk in your mouth, and the milk had soured. Actually, I do have a friend to whom this is a phobia. He absolutely never wants that happen to him again and will throw away any milk in his fridge the night before it gets to the "sell by" date!

| Different phobias Posted: 1/24/2009 7:33:28 PM | Smokers, mainly for the fact that I work in a highly combustible area and they lack the common sense that live flame + flammable materials = bad. Same for the people with cellphones. Again, live electric circuit +... Well, you get the idea.
That, and the people driving around whilst talking on their cellphones. I don't care if they have a headset. It's freaking dangerous. Same with the people texting while driving. Almost gotten side-swiped, T-Boned, and become a hood ornament too many times because they don't have the common sense to pay the !@#$ attention to the road and ignore their friends for five minutes.
These people scare the holy living hell out of me. Granted, I don't know the specific scientific names, but still...

| Different phobias Posted: 1/24/2009 8:55:47 PM | | I don't like clowns or circuses either for that manner but it's not a phobia. What I fear irrationally is snakes! | |
|
| Different phobias Posted: 1/24/2009 10:43:25 PM | Ok here it goes: 1. Being in a cable car and having it break down(will not ride in one or a ski lift). 2. Driving in extremely deep snow or very icy conditions. 3. Snakes and getting bitten by them. 4. Being decapitated. 5. Dying at sea.
Those are my phobias, daily dislikes and fears are far more common place.
Phobia-n. a persistant irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.
