| KC: February 13-15, 2009 Posted: 2/17/2009 5:16:48 PM | This Friday, Feb 20th, A band called "Souled Out" is playing at Sidepockets in Olathe. According to what I found on the web; The Souled Out Band is an seven-piece Motown variety band. The band consists of two front lead singers, a guitarist, keyboardist, drummer, bassist & sax player.
They perform at private parties, corporate events, wedding receptions, clubs, and anywhere there are people who like Motown, classic rock and the music from the 60's and 70's with a little 50's thrown in.

| KC: March 20-22 Posted: 3/21/2009 12:23:57 PM | Not exactly "this" weekend but on April 10th and 11th Charlie and the Stingrays will be back at Sidepockets in Olathe. I'm not going to post this one as an event but I will probably be there one of those nights with a couple friends.
The following weekend another band called "Boomerz" will be there. They are one of Jmacks favorites so I'm sure she will be there. (Probably drinking Tequila, dancing on tables and loosing articles of clothing.)

Oh well, maybe next time.

| Saturday and Sunday, April 18 & 19 Posted: 4/17/2009 3:51:25 PM | The Kansas City Pet Expo @ The American Royal Center. Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM
The 5th annual KC Pet Expo (kcpetexpo.com), presented by No More Homeless Pets KC will be produced April 18th & 19th at the American Royal Center. Pat Riha Productions (www.patrihaproductions.com) also produces the KC Remodeling Show, Metropolitan Lawn & Garden Show, Johnson County Home & Garden Show, along with boat and RV shows.
The KC Pet Expo was launched by Patrick and Kate Riha in May of 2005 to support and promote better pet care and welfare within the Kansas City area. They felt that through better “pet knowledge,” pet owners would make better pet selections, reducing the number of animals released on the streets or turned over to animal shelters. The initial show brought together more than 60 non-profit animal care organizations and 100+ commercial vendors for the Pet Expo. The Pet Expo particularly supported its Beneficiary Sponsors, Animal Haven, the Humane Society of Greater KC, Wayside Waifs and KC Animal Health & Public Safety.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go in part to support No More Homeless Pets, Wayside Waifs, Greater Kansas City Humane Society, Animal Haven and Half Way House Pet Adoptions.

| April 17th, 18th & 19th Posted: 4/17/2009 4:03:38 PM | The Untamed Shrews at the Improve comedy club in Zona Rosa.
A mix of traditional stand-up, improv and music, The Untamed Shrews is a bawdy variety show with no limits that has been entertaining audiences for more than a decade. With the Untamed Shrews you get many men’s fantasies fulfilled - two women at once. Sometimes, it’s just more than they can handle. But those same men (and women) are laughing the whole time. First, Susan Smith and Marge Tackes offer their unique takes on sex in separate stand-up acts, followed with them teaming up for an improv set that gets the audience involved in the show. The show is capped off with a musical finale featuring lightning-fast costume changes with the likes of Cher, Michael Jackson, Stevie Nicks and Meatloaf - yes, Meatloaf - gracing the stage. The birds and the bees story has never been told like this but everyone - audiences, club owners and the wait staff - enjoy their sting because it’s all in fun. And everyone will know they’ve gotten their money’s worth.

| Kansas City ~ whats happening this weekend. Posted: 4/21/2009 2:32:14 PM | | Hey, if any of your KC folks are looking for something to do this Friday night, and feel like taking about a 3 hour drive, come on over to Wentzville (it's almost to St Louis, but not as far, bout an hour past Columbia) and party with us. We are having a rockin party going on and am always up for meeting new folks. We even got a hotel to give us discounted rooms for the night so if you need a safe place to crash (I mean that in a good way, don't want to lose any of our friends) then come on over. | |

| Kansas City: April 24-26 Posted: 4/21/2009 8:03:20 PM | | well it's hard to do Susie when we are having parties here in St Louis almost every weekend as well................but now you have me thinking.........wondering when we can pull this off. Will have to see when they have their next party at Funky Town, and as long as it's not May 16th (the Ren Faire in Wentzville for us St Louis peeps) or the 30th ( a Strat party in the making) then we might just be able to pull it off. | |
