Theres a lot of English people living and working in Ireland, for the most part they are good people but I question their ability to drink, dont develop a complex now but ye English just arnt up to the job keep trying though.

Why all this aggro about English people? I'm an irish republican, so I guess the uninitiated would think I should despise them, but why? Most english people I know are sound. You should treat all people as you would want to be treated and take individuals on their own merits.

There's virtually zero threat of 'terrorists' now. Whatever that silly buzzword is meant to mean these days. You have a far greater chance of being run over by a bus.

Mr-Doddy that may be the case in Cork, but it certainly wouldn't be same in NI. The word terrorist is still very alive here. Granted things are quieter, but the stormont morons can't work together and there is a significant number of disgruntled former SF people andothers it must be said who have strong leanings toward dissidents...................... to bring up an old saying..............they haven't (all) gone away you know..................... I live for the day they do.

it would be a shame though wouldnt it..the progress ireland has made in the last few years being fecked up because of a few dissadents want to keep the troubles going..im proud of my irish heritage,,and so are millions of others around the world..ireland deserves alot more than being a country of troubles..i hope it gets what it deserves..peace and prosperity..

English and proud..... oh btw am moving to Ireland in the near future so watch out am after you lovely Irish men!. Well the ones who don't **** about the English being tards!, lets face it everywhere you go you'll meet a few tards and numpties along the way.

The thing about English women being cr*p mothers is well CR*P am afraid... my mother did a fine job with me and my sibs :). My lady friends are also fantastic mothers, my sister is a superb mother. Her kids are cherished and loved which is what you'd expect of a mother isn't it? not to mention care etc. Yeah some mothers are bad and ort to be ashamed of em sens but look around you!. This isn't just English women this is women all over! and am afraid MEN too!. Yeah sh*t dads :P, lazy bone idle piss head dads! :D.

Oh i love drinking btw but damn you Irish WIN, am a light weight oh nooooos :D, id have a bloody good go at beating you all to a drinking match though :).

I feel like a English breakfast now though lets see maybe cook it in Guinness :D, right that my plan for tomos morning.

So anyways jokes aside :)

See you Irish people soon ^^ Mwah!

I can't believe this topic has not been scrubbed. Out and out Racism against English people, and I'm a very proud Irishman. I think it's sick in this day and age, and I wouldn't the one to say I'm a very PC person, but I thought this crap was consigned to the history books like slavery where it belongs.

For all you losers out there, get over the national identities and live.

This thread confuses me

Aye confused me too... i guess the person who started it as a axe to grind with us English folks!. Shame really, regardless of this i still love Ireland and Irish folks!, in fact many of my friends are Irish :). Iv fallen in love with Ireland and i do plan to move there early next year, though after reading a few posts and ofc the original poster i am a little concerned as to how il be treated once there!. Its not put me off, my friends their will take care of me and to those who hate the English... all i can say is oh well such a shame eh :(

I also think this thread should be removed too... sigh!

ummm..............lets see.

The English have given the world: BNP, Slavery spread over four continents, xenophobia etc.

Greatest empire? what about roman, or Macedonian?

ALthough I have english friends, I have noticed people like you are quite arrogant, and have a misplaced sense of superiority. I am not stereotyping, unlike you. I am just speaking from past experience.

As for envy, who would want to be English? every day we read your excesses and crimes in the newspaper, the serial killers, drug using [sarcasm]stars[/stars]

The sad thing is the you are the lepar of europe, and always will be.

Finally, like most bullies, your empire fell and you ran off with your tails between your legs when your colonies stood up to you.

Interesting and a bit sad that a thread full of bile and spite and started by a dumb Dutchman for reasons of his own keeps rearing its ugly head. The Irish are well known for warmth and humour but there’s little evidence of it here. I think any thread started on the UK forum denigrating the Irish would soon be given its marching orders! Shame this wasn’t killed at birth!

The English? Fight for freedom of the world??? When excactly did this take place?? Are we talking about the same England which presided over an empire based on the subjugation of people in their own countries? One which was based on riding roughshod over indigenous cultures and traditions with the sole objective of lining its own pockets? The same England which maintains a sectarian monarchy populated by the sons and daughters of mainly non-English people? The same England now engaged in illegal warfare at the behest of its masters in Washington?

I'm afraid you don't have to look beyond your own shores for evidence of tyranny, my friend and I don't have to look beyond my own shores for evidence of the effects of that tyranny. If England 'policed the world for 200 years', it did so on its own behalf and without the consent of those who were 'policed'. Somewhat ironically, it now appears to have lost the ability to 'police' its own streets.

Not much to envy there.
