| If you had your choice to be able to fly or to be invisible Posted: 2/4/2009 8:05:31 AM | I would have to say flying. Too much can go wrong w/ being invisible. I would prefer the ease and freedom to go where I want when I want. Besides I can always carry a backpack to fix things up when I land. It also probably would be a great stress reliever.
Being invisible you have to worry more about crossing the street, having doors shut in your face, having your feet stepped on, etc. I think it would be more of a nuisance than a gift.
As for sex w/ an invisible person all I can think of is that joke w/ Wonder Woman, Superman, and the Invisible Man. Talk about a surprise threesome!

As a middle-aged woman in the U.S., I'm already invisible.
:-D Hysterical! Thanks Spider. It's so funny to us who are middle aged women in the US because we know exactly what you mean. In fact there was one day I was so invisible that twice! the automatic "magic-eye" door in two different stored didn't see me and so didn't open. I almost bumped right into one but then it "saw" the person behind me.
So, bizarre! | |

| If you had your choice to be able to fly or to be invisible Posted: 2/5/2009 6:59:09 AM | I often dream I'm flying...and it's almost always the same dream. I'm flying high and without any efforts whatsoever and I can't believe how beautiful everything looks and how free I feel.
Yet at the same time that I'm flying, I'm wondering how come I can fly since I have no wings and if it's all a dream...then a great feeling of sadness washes over me as I realise that it's probably only a dream...and that's when I wake up:(
I suppose that there's a part of me that would like to be invisible too, of course (hehe... ).
But...because I know (for a fact) that I couldn't handle finding out things about people that were not meant for my eyes or ears, I would opt out I think. I've never been one to want to see inside people's mind - some things are better left unsaid (IMO).
Ah but to fly (like an eagle - Stever Miller)...
Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin Into the future Time keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin Into the future
I want to fly like an eagle To the sea Fly like an eagle Let my spirit carry me I want to fly like an eagle Till Im free Oh, lord, through the revolution
Feed the babies Who dont have enough to eat Shoe the children With no shoes on their feet House the people Livin in the street Oh, oh, theres a solution
I want to fly like an eagle To the sea Fly like an eagle Let my spirit carry me I want to fly like an eagle Till Im free Fly through the revolution

K, next time you are a passenger in a car going over 40mph, stick your head out the window then get back to me on how great that felt.
Yes. You'd definitely have to have a reinforced thermal flight-suit, an oxygen supply, and a helmet to travel anywhere near the speeds I'm thinking of. (Probably a significant increase in physical strength, too.) But since the laws of physics would have to be thrown out to get me to fly in the first place, why should they be re-applied to make the experience unpleasant?

| If you had your choice to be able to fly or to be invisible Posted: 2/5/2009 11:29:50 AM | op:
assuming when you said be invisible you meant with the ability to yet maneuver things with your body (like pick up things with your hands) I'd say be invisible cause the only thing you could really do flying you can't invisible is just that- literally flying but there are lot of things you can't do invisible flying. There's probably also this nosy characteristic in me that picks invisible over flying.;)

| If you had your choice to be able to fly or to be invisible Posted: 2/5/2009 7:41:50 PM | | Flying, but only if I can do it like Superman. You know levitate slowly or go off like a rocket! Soaring through the air with complete control over your body, going wherever you wanted, whenever you wanted in minutes or seconds?!?!?! My idea of Fabulous! | |
