What are your first-date dealbreakers? Page 4 of 5    (1, 2, 3, 4, 5)
Mike - boy am I ever with you on that one. I don't care how important YOU think YOU are - cut the dang phone off for a little while. If you do have to take a call, I really don't need to hear all the details. Be polite and step away.

This goes for everywhere now. Can't go to the grocery without hearing several conversations you really don't care about or to hear. Lately have begun to notice more old people having conversations - boy can they get loud and not even realize it. Nothing worse then standing in line some place and watching people holding up things because they're on their phone!

Guess what people??? It's NOT all about YOU!!

Suni

What is even worse is having people with that dang blue tooth in their ear that you can't see. You hear them talking and not sure if they are speaking to you or not. If someone met me for the first time with one of those in their ear, I think I would immediately walk away.

Perhaps those things in their ears aren't really phones at all. Perhaps they are just designed to look like that because "they actually are talking to themselves"
And that could be because they find themselves so very interesting to talk to????

OK here's another one....

Really bad table manners. Just a pet peeve I guess.

Well ok, perhaps if she's really cute, I might overlook it. But it always bothers me to see someone butter a whole roll and stick the whole thing in her mouth! :)

Mike, what would be worse, is that they try talking to you while they are still trying to chew that roll YUCK

Friend of mine went on the first-date and discovered the guy had really bad ROAD RAGE!! Not sure if that is an indication of how he would be in a relationship, but would be a deal breaker for me. It would have me concerned

1 Talks while she has food in her mouth.
2. Does not understand that a real martini is made with gin not vodka.
3. Gets grossed out when I order a gibson.
4. States that she does not believe in premarital relations.
5. Talks on her cel. phone.
6. Complains.
7. Wanting to go to a movie after dinner so "we can talk and get to know each other even better. " oh sure.
8. After finding out that I am twin she asks if my brother has the same birthday as I do. Believe it or not, I get asked this all the time.
9. Wants to have a so called "intelligent conversation" after asking if my twin is the same age as I am.
10. Asking me if I like sushi while I am eating a piece of said subject at a sushi bar..LOL no I only eat what I don't like.

Bob, have you ever seen that comedian Bill Ingals (Engalls) who does that

"Here's your sign"??? #'s 8 and 10 sure would fit lol

Almost like when your car breaks down, you are sitting on the side of the road and a person stops and asks "car problems"

Actually, this is feasible if the first twin is born slightly before midnight, and the next is born slightly after midnight. In that scenario, they could have different birth dates.

I thought of some more. And yes these have happened.

1. showing up at meeting site and immediately asking me to take him to my place for sex.
2. not showing up at all, then giving a lame ass excuse and wants to try again (sorry I know how this game ends)
3. taking me to a restaurant that serves predominantly meat when they know i'm a vegetarian. Then get angry when I see there is nothing on the menu I can eat, and they tell me to order a salad. A salad is not a meal, at least not the kind I want.
4. talking or texting on the phone throughout the date.
5. hardly talking to me at all.
6. staring at other women left and right
7. Showing up overdressed, or underdressed.
8. asking to pay my half, even though his food was way more than half the bill.
9. showing up four inches shorter than he claims to be, then tells me it's because i'm wearing heels, which i'm not.
10. Saying they'll call me again at the end of night...not calling, til weeks or months later and then making up some lame ass excuse, and asking me out again...NOT.

Suni I thought I had left all the bubba's behind in TX, however, they appear to be EVERYWHERE lol. Yep, I quickly turn and run at the mention of that name or as you said someone with two names for one. They might want to take me out four wheeling in the MUD! I am somewhat adventursome but getting jossled around and muddy is not what I call fun.

Oh, had a friend who on her first meet........the guy READ to her from a Astrology book all evening, telling her about herself (yawn) then when she said they should call it a night, thought that meant to GO FOR IT!!

I think all these bad dates....perhaps have the wiring in their brains either not connected or backwards

1.When she does not let me give her a hug so that I can grope her.
2. Showing up with her husband and then stating he thinks you are cute too..
3. Meeting at the bar only to find out she works at the bar and well you know...
4. Asking me if I can help her move her furniture out or her exes house....
5. Stating that I remind her of her brother.
6. Getting up set with me because I hooked up with her sister prior to our first date.
7. Wanting to talk politics without knowing what the capitol of her own state is..
8. Stating that she wants to visit Europe one day when she has not even been to the Grand Canyon, the mountains, Canada, Mexico or even NYC.

Smokers! Ugh! Sorry but I just can't deal with that. Also when they are not polite and can't even say thank you for dinner - very rude!

This happened years ago, but will never forget:

Blind date meeting in a restaurant. Introduced myself to the maitre d' as "the expected blind date" and he got this funny look on his face and asked me if I was sure ... I was puzzled but ignored that and said "lead on" ...

Got to the table, and the much-fatter-much-older-than-expected gentleman was already eating ... buffalo wings ... and had wing sauce ALL over his face (no lie!) - inches of the slop around his lips ... looked like clown makeup, buffalo style

Sat down ANYWAY (I know!) and watched him speak to me with one wing in his mouth and another in the other hand ... I ordered a soda, decided not to order food (getting my groove back here), waited (and waited!) for him to use a napkin or SOMETHING on his face and when he didn't I got up and walked away ...

Blech! LOL!

Ok true story. I took this woman to lunch. I road 50 mils to give her a ride on my bike and go to lunch. She tells me about her soon to be abusive Ex. then starts to cry in the middle of lunch. tells me she has to go to court the next day. I tell her to be happy she will be done with the guy. Then she says that she has to go to court for atempted murrder. She had cut her soon to be EX with a knife and left him for dead after he stoped her on a back road. I got her home quik and never saw or heard from her again.
