| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/16/2009 1:17:22 PM | Ever "here" of the term fear
Not it being pronounced that way jac I haven't.
I think Brady is going to be fine. I mean, you take Big Ben for example and what he dealt with, between the Motorcycle accident and his appendix problems, that completely wrecked his 06 season. But then, in 07 he came back strong. So, I don't see Brady having problems. I think a few preseason games will knock the rust off of him and he will be back to normal. If Brady’s return is one thing the Dolphins may have to be concerned about it's going to take a back seat to their schedule in 09. They have the toughest schedule in 09 then anyone else in the NFL.

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/16/2009 3:49:09 PM | | You also have to consider Phillip Rivers and how he returned back after a torn ACL. He actually had a great year last season. Once injuries are healed, most QB's perform the same. If it was a RB or another position, it can be a lot harder to perform. Brady is actually a tough player and last seasons injury won't have any setbacks for next season, I am sure of it. | |

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/17/2009 1:54:09 PM | where do u guys think john gruden will go 2?
thank god the colts job is already taken, dont want him taking yet another team that dungy has built . i think gruden is a overratted coach, he took a team that was already really good ( bucs) to a superbowl and then has a bearly 500 win % with that team, he cant build teams or reload with them, just saying there sure is a lot of hype for a .500 coach.
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/17/2009 4:06:54 PM | | I wouldn't be shocked if Gurden decides to wait it out a year and decides to go to the college level. That would be funny if Gurden got a head coaching job say somewhere like USF. | |

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/18/2009 9:59:16 AM | | The Saints dumped Deuce today. He'll probably sit on the market until the middle of next year when some team get's a chronic case of RB loss. Like the Broncos had this year. | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/18/2009 7:36:10 PM |
when some team get's a chronic case of RB loss
Sounds painful!! | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/19/2009 1:06:21 PM | | If the eagles add TJ to their receiving core my vote is for them, they need to throw some money at ray lewis too, their LB core is a bit thin | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/19/2009 2:53:07 PM | | So it looks like all this talk about McNabb leaving the Eagles was just talk after all considering now he just signed an exetention which will prob keep him as an Eagle for the rest of his career. | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/22/2009 6:55:06 AM | Being a Buc's fan from the first game. I was there did that. I think Gruden in the pro's is at best an offensive coordinator. He has an ego that bigger than the players. The players and fans at Tampa got tired of him. When you lose the players respect you lose the team. I thank Gruden for the Super bowl win. We got hot at the right time. Also when he knew the opposing teams playbook it was easy after that. Everyone says it was Dungy's team. But the fact is Sam Wyche made the draft picks that started them on their way. When he signed Hardy Nickerson he brought a tired of losing attitude. Dungy brought a different element to the Buc's. He just couldn't get the offense over the hill. Hense Gruden got the Super Bowl win. Gruden does not have the patience to work with a young QB. I have heard thru the grapevine the Raiders are not interested in him. Raheem Morris will bring a fresh, young enthusiasm to them. The players really like him and he has assembled some good fresh coaches around him. Not too many retreads.
As for this year. Who would have thought the dolphins or the Cards would end up where they were at. I can't wait for fantasy football. Does anyone know if PoF has a fantasy league?
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/22/2009 7:26:32 AM | Yes, that league would be made up of most of the posters on this board claiming their team is the best! That is the TRUE fantasy! | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/22/2009 9:54:38 PM | Way early with free agency and draft still looming however lets take a stab regardless of Vegas odds... Physical injuries easy to fix the mental healing who knows and Brady no exception...Dolphins still win their division unless Pats D finds the fountain of youth Chargers win theirs unless some high school team gets an exemption to play in that division on a Al Davis pass card Brutality will still rule AFC North and with key D losses in Raven D Steelers pound to the top again there The luster is off the Colts look for an upset here in this division call it crazy but look for the Jags to rise here and just maybe the Jags to send a plz come back card to Leftwich NFC news and notes Dallas first team to go with a one man roster Owens will now be throwing to himself as the Eagles win the division again Replacing the retired/unretired/retired/.....is he really retired legend monkey off his back Packers win here Falcons no longer in the dog business Ryan and company stay on top there And last but not least depending on your perspective maybe the Cards are for real now lol and if MR. Singletary would suit up for the NR's errr maybe....this division is a crap shoot Rams are sheep but just maybe it can be the year for the Seahawks to feast but seriously if I had a four sided coin I WOULD FLIP IT.... Will be tuned in for every scrap piece of info I can get and loathing through the off season but tuned in and ready come July! Pre everything pick....AFC CHAMP Steelers...NFC CHAMP Eagles...Steelers repeat | |

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 12:13:36 AM | I hate the Pats!
They're smart as hell though and I respect them. Franchising Cassell was genius. A one year insurance policy, if Tom Brady doesn't come back like the Brady we know. If Brady works out, it's just one year. Plus, the Pats have Kevin O'Connell in the wings. A rookie last year, he has better tools than Cassell and Brady being 6'5 230 lbs, running a 4.6 40 with a cannon arm. The Pats drafted him to replace Cassell, who was in the final year of his contract. If Brady works out, they have a guy who can fill Cassell's shoes. If Brady doesn't come back, they sign Cassell to an extention.
I hate the freakin' Patriots.

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 12:15:27 AM | | My concern is LT, being a Chargers fan. WTF happened to him. The Chargers messed up with Turner. In hindsight it looks bad. However, atm it seemed great so no hate from me there. Norv freakin' Turner. Fire him. Got rid of Marty after 14-2 . Bad decision. | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 2:28:27 AM | | I had LT on my fantasy team last year. I think what happened to him is they rid of Lorenzo Neil. Seems where ever he go he blocks some pretty good holes. Plus the early season toe injury didn't help. Just a thought. | |

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 5:43:00 AM |
Chargers win theirs unless some high school team gets an exemption to play in that division on a Al Davis pass card
What does Broncsbuff have to say about that?
NFC news and notes Dallas first team to go with a one man roster Owens will now be throwing to himself as the Eagles win the division again
Eagles win the division again. They havn't won it the last 4 years.

| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 9:54:01 AM | | winningest coach??? maybe winningest...and my BOYS dont want chuckie | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 12:01:20 PM |
What does Broncsbuff have to say about that?
I remember a quote by Patrick Roy one time ....
"I cant hear him cause I have two stanley cups ringing in my ear"
I have been hearing how the chargers were gonna win the superbowl the lat 4 years...they have so much talent, they have so much depth....pffft....
The chargers have been to one superbowl...and they got drilled....bla bla bla
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 9:10:21 PM | Guess broncsbuff is not a charger fan
I remember a quote from some one I will never forget.
Seventeen points is Plaxico playing offense and defense we are only going to score seventeen points
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 9:40:36 PM | I remember a quote too....
"I shot myself in the leg Mr. Officer!!!"
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/23/2009 9:51:41 PM | Mr. Belicheat you just lost the Superbowl after being 18-0 to the New York Giants what do you have to say?
Well ah well ah they played a beter game thats all.
| |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/25/2009 12:18:18 PM | Eagles win the division again. They havn't won it the last 4 years
atleast they have won a playoff game since the 90s.
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/25/2009 11:42:44 PM | | hell I guess the Browns are a real joke to all the other teams??? What is it? Maybe the Browns are considered as the minor leagues? All the bad or not yet ready players go to the Browns until the get better then they are free agented out to the other teams? I will be forever a die-hard Browns fan and will always hope for the best. One day soon they will be back to 80's glory But I would still bet money one them at the first of every year to go to the super bowl. Heck what is 5 dollars at a 55 to one odds anyway? | |
|
| The 2009 NFL Season Posted: 2/26/2009 1:02:37 AM | | Bucs were cleaning house today. It was about time. Most of the players they released were past their prime. As good as Brooks is still they should have released him a few seasons ago. When you go from top threat in the league to just a 1 or 2 down player and teams don't take you nearly as a threat as they once did, then it's time for a change. Plus the guys they let go were asking more per season then what they really were worth at this stage of their career. So it was a good time to let these guys go. Plus it freed up some cap room. | |
