However, if you just wanted an answer to your question, without a solution to the problem, it's because men over 40, just like any OTHER man, will write someone he's attracted to. It's that simple. | |

You may be personally appalled and disgusted by the fact that it might, in fact, be biologically driven, and natural for an older man to have sexual urges that include younger women, but you have no basis in actual fact in which to do so.
Nature made that possible, not "dirty old men".

OK, now,Faith, meaning no disrespect, but that was uncalled for/out of line. "I can see why you are single"( separated,divorced) is an acceptable comment/retort/observation. But to publicly speculate about the ex's need for remedial mental health treatment is a bit much, IMO. Yes, I GET that he's beginning to piss you off, but lets leave people's exes out of it when it has nothing to do with the topic, which happens to be "what is wrong with men" ( or at least that's what it was when we began this exercise in futility!)
My answer would be that from where I sit, there is nothing wrong with men overall,generally speaking. Yes there are individuals and small groups who definitely have one thing or another "wrong" with them. But for the OP to take her personal distaste for being contacted by men over 40, and extrapolate that to a serious flaw shared by all men...well, let's call it an unfair generalization. Whether or not making that generalization constitutes "poopyheadedness" on the OPs' part, I wouldn't dare to speculate. I don't have enough current knowledge of the poopyhead condition, the latest research etc, to make an informed comment. I will have to defer to posters better versed in that subject.
