From comedians, to movies, and talk shows, the media offers up a wide range of opinions/examples. Anticipating some lively responses, I ask the POF readers: How long should sex last? What is normal? What would be your preference? I'm not talking about the before and after-- or the different him-him/her-her variations-- but how long should intercourse last between a man and a woman?
As long as both parties want. That will very with their age, experience and compatibility. And where they are on their cycle, so to speak. Love making between two experienced people who are strongly attracted to each other and have a relatively new relationship might last for a weekend. Sex between an established couple who have sex every evening might last only 20 minutes. Sex between two young inexperienced people might last for 3 minutes or so. All normal, and usually mutually satisfactory. | |

Also, it depends on what you are timing. Is it from the moment you insert it to when you cum or the whole experience of working each other up and all the goes on between it and the grand finally? | |

When in the zone, can't wait to rip each other's clothes off, great sex can be hard and fast, up against the wall. Other times, hours can pass, making slow, sweet love. Each equally satisfying at the moment.
The trick for good sex within a relationship, is to have intimacy as an active part of your everyday life. Intimacy keeps things exciting and simmering. | |
