We are breaking new ground so to speak yet trying not to break any rules ,but as always with new ways and new ideas there is doubt and fears and some problems at first ,sure glad that Marcus broke away from the norm and made this a free site ,as his foresite has helped many people.---mind you i bet his very succesfull site is a thorn to many other sites.---LET THE FISH SWIM FREE !!!: | |

Posted: 3/7/2009 9:52:07 AM | Well really it does matter that it be posted in sask as well or else how else is the local members to be informed and all feel welcome.So in any regardes you would think that the Moderator for pof would encourage rather then discourage ,such an event as this which is designed to promote this site and its intentions.
I would like to thank all winnipeg pof members for their support . Together we stand devided we fall. Hang in there people this is still going to happen . | |

The Sask. tour bus group who is staying at the hotel at the casino, since it is a tour package, maybe you can get them to hold that seating area at Jaguars for you to make sure we can all be close together as the place fills pretty damn quick. Just a thought. | |

Posted: 3/9/2009 5:20:48 PM | As the event coordinator I did call MLC and ask for an exception to their no reservation rule. Yes, I received the same info missing link did that it does not matter that the tour bus riders are staying in the hotel.
A few weeks ago the back corner section "was" reserved so I asked their booking director to explain why it could be reserved for another group but not us. That last call was on Friday. Hope he calls me back soon.
But in lieu of a reservation I suggest as many of us as possible line up at 6:00 o'clock and grab tables for 100. We do have to play by the casinos own rules after all.

Posted: 3/10/2009 3:10:39 PM | Hmmmmm, it's all sounding a little weird isn't it? Rather a little "fishy" is more like it. They won't call you back - yet. They won't let you reserve yet they do for other groups.
It just all seems quite odd. And I can't see that it will be easy to hold tables for 100 people if there are only a few folks there at 6:00. That's a poop-load of tables to hold because don't the tables only hold 8! Me thinks you had better bring in the Sherriff and his possee to herd in those 14 or so tables to keep them from other patrons ....lol. Or maybe set a deadline time to let tables go if folks don't show up to keep yourselves from being tarred and feathered for the tables you're holding for no shows. Because you know the reality is that's a common occurance at any POF event. Many folks are well intended when they sign up but often don't show. I myself am not sure if I am going to be able to attend but I signed up and certainly don't expect anyone to hold a table or chair for me. I'll just take my chances when I do arrive, or find a nice lap ... :).
Well, have faith POF'ers, it will be interesting Enigma to see what the booking person has to say about the reservation when or if, they call you back.

PP, I don't think it is about about temperature. I seem to recall that you always wear blue jeans at Baja even when it is plus 30! You do look just fine in blue jeans . . . at any temperature. 
In other words folks . . . as long as you are comfortable wear whatever you like for dancing at Jaguars. This is shaping up to be an awesome event !!!!
