| Who loves it when a man ACTUALLY sings to you? Posted: 9/15/2006 6:18:54 PM | Funny how the people who are most likely to burst out into song in public are so often the most out of tune and least likely to recognize it.
After more than two decades in the business, for example, Garrison Keeler still hurts my ears so much that I have to turn the radio down when he sings. He's a great story teller but his intonation is inhumane. But hey, it's his show so he doesn't have to audition, kind of like Merv Griffen.
I wish all you women better luck with your romancers than this. Maybe good ear plugs and a pair of really dark glasses would be a good investment.
I gotta go now. All this talk about bad singers is giving me a double-ear ache.

| Who loves it when a man ACTUALLY sings to you? Posted: 9/30/2006 8:01:58 AM | | A man I am involved with in a long distance relationship sings me to sleep every night over the phone! Sometimes, I actually fall asleep and he patiently waits about a half hour, quietly lulling me to sleep with his soothing voice. Of course, the same pacifying voice does not sound pacifying when he's yelling at me!...lol... | |

Posted: 10/7/2006 2:14:21 AM | Wow I think a man serenading a woman is one of the most romantic forms of affection, it's so sensual, I think if a man ever sang to me I'd have big ol goosebumps. The icing would be if he wrote the lyrics himself. Show me a man that hasn't lost himself in machoism...plz

Posted: 10/7/2006 7:54:11 AM | | I love it, because unless the man is a professional singer, he's opening himself up to the possibility of being laughed at. That is a man at his most vulnerable and most lovable. Knowing that he feels secure enough to express himself that way with me gives me the shivers. When my friend Keven sings to me I feel warm and fuzzy from head to toes. And it helps that he has a sexy voice, although it's not really a requirement.

| Who loves it when a man ACTUALLY sings to you? Posted: 10/12/2006 4:29:48 AM | | i love it when my SO sings for me. some people might disagree. but i don't want his wallet, i don't think expensive presents like jeweries or fur proove his love. when we love someone, to love is to lose something you have willingly to make him/her happy and it makes you happy. i always think there are 3 things you can devote: time, money, and care. money is not everything. i know the stars we look together are much more beautiful and valuable than a diamond. if he sings for me and means what the song says, it would be the best present. everytime i listen to the music, i'll think of him forever. love is wonderful. but unfortunately things change. so we might go different ways. but once you love someone truely, the love never disappears. it stays somewhere in our heart like a rose. so i say, i will LOOOOOVE it. | |

Posted: 10/12/2006 11:20:05 AM | | My ex used to sing me to sleep with the music that was on the radio, and I loved it, as long as you can carry a tune, the song is appropriate, Not, I like big Butts and I cannot lie, and you do it at a good time, not burst into song as your having sex or in the middle of a funeral, you should be fine, go for it, sing a song.

Seriously tho, yes you have to carry a tune. I come from the music business, have friends who do vocal coaching and sing myself, so I am a bit spoiled...have had a few up and coming, or major artists sing to me, and now that's very hot! Guys from local bands, same thing - some can just move ya.
However it's hard to feel the same if they can't carry a tune (yes a lot of people do think they can) because it lacks modesty and self awareness, two major turn ons for me. A man has to know if he's not the singing type.
I love a man who can sing extremely well but is shy about it. VERY sexy.

Man... i might be a psych major, but lots id love to learn.
