| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 8/31/2009 6:21:27 AM | Urine is actually sterile. The question was asked on a talk show "If you were stranded on an island, which should you do? Drink salt water or drink your urine? The answer was to drink your urine because it is sterile.
But that's a different cup of tea.(pun intended) Not like using urine as some part of sex. People who do that must have very stinky bedrooms. I just don't understand how some can become so bored with "normal" sex that they need to do something like that. And please don't say, "What is normal"! Peeing on someone or wanting them to pee on you is not normal, any way you cut it.

Urine is actually sterile. The question was asked on a talk show "If you were stranded on an island, which should you do? Drink salt water or drink your urine? The answer was to drink your urine because it is sterile. If you drink either, they will both dehydrate you and kill you quicker than simply waiting for it to rain. Although, I guess the sea water would be worse at finishing you off quicker, the talk show sounded a bit misleading to me. Rather you should try not to urinate in the first place if you are trying to hang on as long as possible, so valuable water isn't wasted flushing out the crap that your body has already processed.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 8/31/2009 7:54:19 AM | Yeah, sterile / kidney-processed or not....drinking this has got to have health risks at some level (beyond just the immediate psychological distress it probably would cause in most people). What about STD's and all that???? No way this could be a remotely a 'safer' sex type of activity (for casual partners that is) ?? | |

STDs.... other diseases....For example: "bacteria, yeast cells, or parasites. There are no bacteria, yeast cells, or parasites in urine normally. If these are present, it can mean you have an infection."
"Clarity. Urine is normally clear. Bacteria, blood, sperm, crystals, or mucus can make urine look cloudy."
Anyone with a UTI or Urinary Tract Infection may also have high levels of bacteria in their urine... Women are at much higher risk for UTI's (This is why women are taught to wipe differently than men)
Urine is not healthy... it's just not as a bad as some other things...

Posted: 8/31/2009 8:07:56 AM | | I like to think of myself as rather open minded when it comes to intimate acts, but I make it clear up front to guys that i'm just not into the showers or the scat. It's fine for some people, but just not for me. I don't judge those who do it in any negative fashion. I figure some people likely feel the same way about some things I enjoy.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 8/31/2009 8:11:28 AM | I'm not saying the talk shows were right. However, I have read from several sources that urine is sterile. If I were stranded on an island, I wouldn't drink either one! But who knows what we would do in a situation like that. Everything I see on talk shows or read on the internet, I take with a grain of salt. Unless it is from an expert. And then, not always!
But I would never under any circumstances allow anyone to pee on me nor I on them. Drinking urine to me is just as disgusting as people eating any other body waste or fluids, and from what I read in these forums, some people do that with no problem.
The whole idea of urine being used for any other purpose other than it was meant for, is just not appealing to me. But, to each his own.
Didn't mean to sound like I was advocating drinking pee. Not to judge anyone, but to me, golden shower, drinking pee, just seems nasty.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 8/31/2009 9:13:32 AM | | ^^ I agree (but was also trying to be open-minded & non-judgmental). But frankly I don't see the point of it. And furthermore it seems to be , IMO, a totally , in fact ridiculously, humiliating thing to subject oneself to....not to mention potentially unhealthy. | |

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 8/31/2009 4:22:39 PM | Some people enjoy sexualized humiliation, golden showers are a harmless exploration of that -as long as things get cleaned up afterward.
Urine is sterile -but only while it's in the body; the instant it hits the air all kinds of chemical reactions happen that make it impure. So while it's not toxic (within reason), the people saying it's sterile are only aware of part of the story.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 9/1/2009 9:10:35 AM | I am aware that once urine leaves the body, it is no longer totally sterile. It's just that I try not to get too long winded when posting. So, I never say all that I know on any given subject. In my post about it being sterile, I was mainly saying what I'd heard on the talk show and other sources. Which is why I say one can't believe all that is heard in that manner.
Not only is it contaminated from chemical reaction from hitting the air, but can pick up all kinds of junk from the body of the person, if there is an infection or germs that lurk outside the body, not to mention if the person is not healthy! So, while it is not as toxic as one would think, it is still not clean. I don't think any bodily fluid is. Some people will put their contacts in their mouth to clean them when there is no other way. More germs in the mouth than anywhere else! But, that's another subject.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 9/1/2009 9:20:12 AM | Mmmm well everyone likes what they like and don't.
Personally instead of having this shower in bed why not try in the tub, shower or for that matter how about outside.
I can see where some women that don't do oral and would never swallow could object. And same goes with the guys.

| What do you all think about golden showers? Posted: 9/8/2009 12:45:02 PM | For the ladies I don't think they realize how dangerous it is for a man to piss on them while having an erection...you stand to lose a contact or two and not to mention it has enough force to strip off all that lovely make up you were wearing.
I just learned in another thread that its okay to piss on your feet in the shower.....pissing on a human for me is one BIG step I will have to work up to.
