Posted: 3/26/2009 1:58:18 AM | Was just wondering if anyone would be into carpoolin from the ferry to the site, splitting a site and car it back to the ferry. If that could posiblily be arranged, I just might be able to see myself taking part in this one after all. I have tenting gear and enough money for transportation/camping site shared/ and ferry ride. Just no transportaion to and from the camping site.

I am not sure as of yet when I will be heading to the island and coming back to the mainland.... waiting to hear from the folks what their plans are before and after the camping as I'd like to tie a visit in with them...seeing as that damn ferry is so freakin expensive! lol I could possibly help you out one way... but dont really know which one...and seeing as I know where you live... I could easily drop and roll ya out of the car! lol I"ll keep ya posted when I get more details from the parental units! But it also looks like there are lots of other mainlanders that are going to be coming... they probably have more or a set schedule then I do... Either way.... it would be great to see you. Just be sure to not forget your tent this time eh!  | |

Lord knows I love to party as much as anyone else, but this campground does have rules regarding outside music. Now apparently Debra stayed here awhile back and her group was kind of noisy, and they had outside music, and yet in spite of the campground's rules, and how noisy her group was, there were no complaints and noone asked them to shut it down. If we are able to get away with that this time, awesome, but if we are asked to shut it down, then we must respect that. No one can claim they didn't know the rules before they booked, and I would not be happy about being kicked out and/or not being welcome to come back again. At the time of this posting, there are 57 people signed up for this event.....just that many people gathered around a campfire even with no music is gonna be noisy.....throw in a few noisy inebriateds, a guitar or two, as well as some of our more naturally rambunctious POF'ers, etc, well, I think you get my drift. Thanks all, let's all have a great time, while at the same time respecting our fellow campers, as well as the campground itself. See you all in just over 3 weeks! | |

If asked to cool it I know i will but theres no harm in seeing if you can play music outside for a while will take it inside if someone will let us. Rules are rules they can be bent but not broken. I'm told there are some big RVs. May be warmer in there. Like I said I talk a good game but Shy , Deb , and others know me well. But I will have a great time reguardless and I'm looking forward to meeting all the fishies and entertaining them if possible. It's all good. | |

Will someone pass the popcorn and a wobbley pop please... I've got a while yet before I need to sober up and drive on that big floating thing to get to that other piece of land that's not attached to ours!! 
Regardless...this is all in good fun... a lot of us are way more talk then action...and if there is any action... we probably dont have the stamina like we did 20 yrs ago to Get R Done! We'll be doing it in our sleep and telling each other over morning coffee with baileys/khaula/marshmellow mix how we got into trouble while fluffing up our pillows and touching the side of the tent...only to wake up in a big puddle... Plse tell me the tent was leaking!!

Looks like I have a couple of friends going anyways. I think I have someone who's willing to share their site with me too. Anybody got a patch kit for my tent? A coon tore a hole in it last year. Don't leave food or toothpaste in your tents!

I will be in Courtenay Wed Afternoon April 15 -Fri Morning April 17....and will then head down to meet up with the rest of them Red Necks who are waiting for their frisking! lol If you wanted to catch a ride down with me we could work something out.... but I will not be going back your way ... Seems my Dad will be too busy with the Courtenay Red Necks at the Rod & Gun Club collecting Salmon fry! Maybe you can get a ride back with someone...or have a friend come down and pick you up ...
