| Vancouver Island CAMPING **April 17 - 19, 2009** NANAIMO Posted: 4/6/2009 1:13:52 AM | Holy Carp Fishies! 67 fishies signed up for this event... I'm beginning to think we'll be taking over the campground! This is seriously looking like a major gong show...between wet spots, dricks, padded RV's, cowboys in the middle of a lake....and lets not forget there being rumours of the Official POF Frisker coming out of retirement Run for your lives if you wanna remain normal after this campout! Here's looking forward to only 12 more sleeps when those Fishies are released and sent off to swim all around!!! | |

However, if my plans change i may pop over via boat ( friends' NOT mine sorry). The chances of that one happening r pretty slim right now due to time constraints.

This is sounding like a Triple Dog Dare Jon.... but then Flash Backs of the GLI occur... OOOOOH the Good Times.
Great to see so many people attending with special guests and friends.... and how many lookie loo will be there without signing up?
On A Safety Note: I would like to appoint Al (or anyone in the vicinity of Debra's arrival) to ensure Debra's parking brake is engaged.... (ask Debra about this story... *snicker snort snicker* sorry Jen)
9 more sleeps (minus the two stat holidays, cuz those days just motor by to quickly) until good times in the outdoors..

| Vancouver Island CAMPING **April 17 - 19, 2009** NANAIMO Posted: 4/7/2009 11:17:59 PM | I'm just getting into practice here, sitting back, counting and recounting all my digits, staying sweetly quiet in my silky web as I watch you all getting further and further entwined all unknowingly, biding my time until I have you squirming and struggling and begging for mercy as you are about to be impaled by my thingamabob (wait, is that right?) which will immobilize you completely so that I can suck the living juice right out of you!
No. That's not right either!

| Vancouver Island CAMPING **April 17 - 19, 2009** NANAIMO Posted: 4/8/2009 7:52:05 AM | Mexican senor up there (cute icon by the way) is quite correct on ONE thing at least. The gates do get locked. There is a dirt parking area just outside the gates so that is a good idea to park there and walk in for those people who are visiting for the day, night, etc.
There is a nice walking trail running right from the campsite - it goes through the ecological reserve on the estuary. I don't know how far it goes. Anyone interested, do a google search and bring your findings to Phil's campsite. I'm sure there will be others interested in hiking/walking.
So...aspirin with codeine, tylenol - bring your antidote cuz I wanna test out my new (old)kayak and a hike sounds nice too. | |
