| Do you know what exactly what you want from life now?
Posted: 10/12/2009 12:48:53 AM | | I've accomplished what was most important to me...I was true to my marriage vows, I raised my children the best as I knew how, and I've been true to myself. Now, the only thing I want is to be able to hold on through the rest of this roller coaster of life the best I can. If someone jumps in the seat next to me for the remainder of the ride, WONDERFUL! If not, I've learned to ride it solo, though it's not as much fun. I've learned there's a master plan for me, however, I surely don't know what it is! lol But, I have faith the Writer of the Plan does! I've had the blessings of falling head over heals in love, and it was a great feeling! It had a crushing end, but it was great while it lasted. It would be nice to feel that again, but that's not totally up to me. I don't know what's waiting for me over the next hill, but that's part of the anticipation. All I can do is HOLD TIGHT and try to enjoy the ride. | |

Now I have a wonderful life, a great family, exellent health and the energy to do the things I've always done, happiness and contentment, no money worries. I have many blessings, and as with anyone, I hope all of this will continue for the rest of my life.
We can't see into the future. Mine is in God's hands, and I'm good with that! | |

Posted: 10/12/2009 7:08:20 PM | Well, let's see, if I live that long....I'll have just finished raising my grandchildren a month after I turn 70. I've already told my granddaughter that when she gets her driver's license...she's in charge of hauling my old behind to the grocery store...and anywhere else I need to go, my grandson will be in charge of mowing the grass.
Gawd, that's really a scary thought that I might actually still be here for another 30 years!!! LOL! but....as my family does tend to live well into the 90s, I guess I should consider it. I find it rather unlikely that I will find a "soulmate", but I fully expect to have close friends, and some will die before me. Having lost my oldest daughter (age 30) a couple years ago, that is my biggest fear, that I would ever have to bury another child...or grandchild.
I don't worry about money, I have enough, and whether or not it's "enough" in the future...worrying about it won't change it now.
At age 70, my cousin (7 yrs younger) and I have always said that we are going to go on a trek and ride EVER rollercoaster in the U.S.; don't really see that plan changing.
My middle daughter insists, and tells all prospective relationships up front that "when the time comes" her Mom WILL be living with them LOL! I think though that I'd probably be happier (as would her husband....IF she ever gets married!!!) just to have an apt in an assisted living facility that is close enough for her to visit frequently.
My cousin is in charge of making sure that the undertakers put my eyeliner on straight and do NOT use pink or coral lipstick on me. My burial plot is bought and paid for....beside my deceased daughter; and the other daughter has insisted that she does not want me to make any arrangements for myself other than that....that it is something she will "need" to do. I have a will.
Yup, I think I pretty much have the bases covered. | |

Posted: 10/12/2009 7:24:49 PM | I have had the very good fortune to be around many of people in their 80's and their 90's.I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that no matter what you hope for, plan for or expect the future willhold. It has a way of changing. Your body is different, your mind and even if you had what you thought was more than enough money to get you through, things happen that can change everything.
So for me, I will plan the best that I can. Know that I am never alone, because I have God. Continue to do to be at peace and find happiness in everything that life has to offer and make the best out of each and every day.
In my opinion life is not all about how you plan for it but, how you actually live it day to day. | |

Posted: 10/13/2009 8:42:16 PM | I want to move to the beach,find a educated non-smoking lady that love the beach /ocean.Someone that enjoys beach music ,going to music concerts especially beach music,enjoys dancing and watching dancing mostly shag dancing.
A partner that want happiness.I want to buy a small place overlooking the beach with indorr/outdoor swimming pools and hottubs. | |

However, I’ve always tried to remain very flexible in how I achieve those things because I believe there’s never just one “right” way or one “right” path to follow on the journey. Very often it’s the detours that make life exciting and interesting, without compromising the integrity of the destination. | |
